God. For being so cute he was surely annoying, but you know, in a cute way. I looked at the time, it was about 12:30 give or take, my car is old and the clock isn't ever precisely accurate. We'd only been on the road for about 30 minutes; so we still had a ways to go in order to get to my place. I had calculated that we would get there around 1 am, just in time to avoid the trash collectors who get there around 1:30 but I hadn't counted on the fact that Frank might need to piss. I guess I forgot that he has a bladder. I was betting on the fact that he would have stayed unconscious longer; I'll make sure to hit him harder next time, though hopefully there would be no next time if everything works out.

I slip out of the driver's side and unlock the back door for Frank, and he hops out and stares at me. I look away, trying to not let him see me blush.

"It's okay, I won't run" He says. I believe him. I start to walk slowly and Frank follows, I keep him in my peripheral vision at all times. He goes inside the bathroom and I wait in the hallway. When he comes out I jerk my head over to the aisles of gas station food, "Pick whatever you want" I tell him.His face lights up with a childish smile, "anything?", he accents the word with a raise of perfectly shaped eyebrows. I couldn't say no even if I wanted to.

"Yes but if you get a sugar high I'm not helping you, you hear me?" He nods enthusiastically and runs over to the candy section. I head over to the coffee and get myself a cup. When I get to the register to pay Frank struts over with his arms full of what looks like all the candy in the store and a pack of energy drinks. With one look at his stash I can tell we will be up all night.

"All of this for you guys?" the cashier asks, he doesn't know what to think about these two guys, one with pitch black hair and a blank face and the other with piercings, skunk hair, and a grin, buying handfuls of candy and energy drinks. To be honest I don't know what to think either. I glace over my shoulder and send back a glare at Frank who winks in response, "Yes. All of it."

When we get back to the car Frank opens up the passenger side door and hops in. I sit down and give him a look plainly stating, what do you think you're doing? He quickly retorts with, "Well we can't share this shit unless we sit next to each other." I roll my eyes but let him have his way, but I wasn't planning on sharing any of that crap.

When we hit the highway I glance over at him and see that he's shoving his face with candy, looking like a kid who just scored the jackpot on Halloween. It's ridiculous. He chomps off a strand of some sour straws and points the eaten side at me, "Want some?", he gives me a goofy smile. This boy was a handful already and we haven't even spent an hour together.

"No." I say and return my eyes to the road.

"Pleaaaseee com'on man I can't eat all this by myself."

"You bought it, you eat it." I fired back at his puppy eyes.

"Well, technically, you bought it." He gives me a sugary smirk and throws a pack of gummy bears in my lap. I sigh. He's right, I was the one who bought them, I can't argue with that.

"Fine." I rip the bag open with my teeth and start eating the gummy bears, my eyes stuck straight ahead, I was not going to let Frank see my defeat.

"Nooo you're eating them wrongg.", he wines, "Gosh. Have you ever had gummy bears before? You have to, like, decapitate them. Like bite off their heads'n'stuff."

"Frank. You decapitate your gummy bears...?"

"Doesn't everyone?"

It takes about 10 minutes for the sugar to kick in, but when it does Frank is literally bouncing up and down, drumming hard on the dashboard. "Frank. Calm down. You're going to break my car."

"I can't I just ate all that sugar dude." I sighed. This was going to be a long drive.

"Do you have a radio or something in here?" I nod towards the glove compartment and tell Frank how to work my mp3 player, which has my entire music collection downloaded on it. He looked ecstatic. He scrolls through the songs and blink-182 fills the car.

"This is my song baby!" I blushed when he said that, though I know he didn't direct it at me. I shake my hair into my face so he won't see. He starts to sing the lyrics and his voice fills the car.

"Late night, come home, work sucks, I know. She left me roses by the stairs, surprises let me know she cares." I point out that he sucks at Tom's accent and he tells me to shut up, then starts singing louder. When we get to the Na Na Na part of the song I join in to please Frank and keep that smile on his face. Soon we were both singing at the top of our lungs, trying to be louder than the other.

"THE NIGHT WILL GO ON. THE NIGHT WILL GO ON. MY LITTLE WINDMILL."

We finish in perfect sync.

"Who knew you had a voice like that. Wow." He says.

" I was in a band once too you know." We grin at each other and Frank immediately picks another song. We sing and laugh until I start getting on edge, we are nearing my house and I'm not sure how Frank is going to react. Maybe he can sense my heightening anxiety because he changes the song. I hear the opening chords come on and Frank looks at me, questioning eyes, quivering lips.

"Will you sing it with me?"

I don't know what you want and I don't wanna know. I got you where I want and I won't let go. So get your kicks out quick while you still got time. That's fine.

I turn off the highway. My hands are shaking on the wheel. My voice quivering as I sing.

I know just what you've done, I need no alibis. I hope you've had your fun, you sure know how to live. Cause your just a drag and you just ran out of time. Well that's quite alright, well.

I start tapping my fingers, hoping he won't notice.

It beats me black and blue but I can't resist. I'm dragging myself through this kind of masochist. But I'll be fine like this till the end of time. That's quite alright.

We turn into the neighborhood. My stomach churns. Our voices drop.

Well do what you want, but don't be proud. Cause baby you don't wanna know. What I'm gonna do when you're not around. No baby you don't wanna know.

I pull into the drive and take a deep breath. Here we go.

I got you right where I want. And I bet you gonna set you off. And I tell you anything you want. But baby you don't wanna know. Baby you don't wanna know.

Frank gets out and turns to me. His smile has disappeared.

It's alright. I don't mind. Cause you just might be outta time.

I walk him over to the door. The truth starts to set in. I just kidnapped Frank and he knows it.

I got you right where I want. And I bet you gonna set you off. And I tell you anything you want. But baby you don't wanna know. Baby you don't wanna know.

"Where are we?"

Baby you don't wanna know.

His voice is quiet. He's scared.

Baby you don't wanna know.

"What are you going to do to me?"

No no baby you don't wanna know.
