🍎 The Demon | Zenitsu x Y/N ⚡️

You are a demon, but you resisted Muzan's control and refuse to eat humans, feeding off on animals instead. You stay in the forest for fear of accidentally hurting someone and so you are protected from the sun. You can see really well and from far away, which helps you avoid demon slayers who occasionally come into the forest to eradicate any demons there, no matter if they are good or not.

One morning, you heard someone screaming. You were curious as to who it was. You saw a boy with yellow and peach hair clutching onto a girl, who is trying to escape from his grip. "Please marry me! I'm going to die soon, and I can't die without a wifeeeee!" The boy screamed.

You took a closer look at him and realized he reminded you of your crush Katashi, who you loved and looked up to fondly. He had blonde hair that was similar to the peach haired boy, and you suddenly felt protective of the boy. You were slightly jealous about his overall clinginess to the girl, but ignored it.

You watched as another boy with red hair came up and stopped the boy, helping the girl escape and walk back to wherever she was going to go before the peach haired boy caught sight of her.

The red haired boy gave the other boy a withering disgusted look, which made the peach haired boy scream even more.You blinked multiple times and felt the urge to laugh.

Finally, you got to the part where the boys introduced each other. "My name is Zenitsu." You heard. You blushed as you gazed at him.

Soon, both boys started heading near the forest you were in. You quickly ran off as they approached, so you wouldn't hurt them.

They finally entered the forest, and you saw two siblings crying and asking for help. You saw them but didn't do anything because you didn't want to hurt them, but you knew their brother was taken, and you had tried to talk Kyogai into releasing their brother, and overall stalling him until help could arrive. You weren't past his strength level, so you knew even if you tried to get their brother, Kyogai and the other demons residing in his home would easily overpower you.

You continued to observe from a safe distance until you saw Tanjiro sniffing the air. He suddenly turned toward your direction and started chasing you. Your eyes widened in shock as you started running. He eventually caught up, and you raised your hands in defeat. "Please... don't get any closer! I don't want to hurt you." You said, trying your best to not devour Tanjiro. He also seemed surprised, and at that moment, Zenitsu finally appeared.

"Hey! WHYD YOU RUN OFF?! I COULD HAVE BEEN EATEN-" he stopped yelling once he saw you. His cheeks turned the color of a pink rose and he started screaming. You were confused, and felt bad in making him so fearful of you.

"TANJIRO! WHERE'D YOU FIND THIS GIRL?! SHES SO PRETTY!" He squealed. He immediately tried to latch himself on you. "Hold on Zenitsu! I think she's a demon." He said, his hand on Zenitsu's shoulder, and the other on his nichirin blade. Zenitsu almost fell in shock. "HER? SHE CAN'T BE A DEMON, THERE'S NO WAY! SHE'S TOO PRETTY TO BE ONE OF THOSE SCARY DEMONS!" Zenitsu argued, trying to get out of Tanjiro's grip.

"P-please, leave me alone! You have to help those kids there, their brother won't last for much longer! I've been stalling the demons in that house, and so you must rescue the boy." You told them, backing away.

Tanjiro wasn't completely convinced but he saw how you held back against eating him and Zenitsu, and saw you were telling the truth. "I can help you both. I can watch the kids or fight against the demons in the house, although, since I've only been eating animals, I'm not as strong as many demons, and it is sunny out." You offered, smiling.

Zenitsu's mouth hung open. "SHE IS A DEMON?! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!" "Calm down, Zenitsu. And I guess you can help. You can watch over the kids, and if we don't come out in a while, then you can come and see if we need help." Tanjiro said, smiling.

You nodded and ran toward the kids. After running fast, you found the children huddled up together. They looked at you in fear, but you crouched down low and offered to sing them a song. They reluctantly agreed, and you began to sing. Your demon art was singing, and so you were able to lull anyone in a trance to do whatever you wanted, although it wouldn't last more than an hour or so because you weren't that strong. You started singing a soothing melody which made the two children fall asleep, peacefully.

You set them near the sun in case a demon might appear or you needed to leave to help so they would be safe.A few moments later, Tanjiro and Zenitsu appeared.

"Y-your voice was really beautiful." He stuttered, blushing. He also looked very sleepy. "You could hear me?" You said, surprised. You had made sure to run far and fast enough so that the two wouldn't hear you and fall asleep as well.

Before the both of you could say anything else, Tanjiro started walking toward the house. "Arigato... uh.." he started saying, but then realized he didn't get your name. You smiled. "L/N Y/N." "Well then, Arigato L/N."

"WHY CAN'T I JUST STAY WITH Y/N CHAN?!" Zenitsu yelled, clinging onto you with a hug. Your eyes widened and a slight blush formed on your cheeks."Zenitsu... okay fine, you can watch over the kids with Y/N. I'll be back soon. Oh, and watch over this box please. Don't let any harm come to it." Tanjiro finally agreed, and walked away toward the house.

"YAY! Y/N CHAN CAN YOU SING AGAIN FOR ME?" Zenitsu screamed, and you shushed him. "Be quiet Zenitsu, or you'll wake up the kids." You told him, your voice hushed. If Zenitsu kept screaming, the kids would wake up in a few minutes. "Oh, sorry Y/N Chan. Can you sing again?" He said in a normal voice. You nodded, smiling. You started singing the soothing melody again, and Zenitsu started getting sleepy.

Without thinking, he put his head on your lap, and drifted off to sleep. You blushed madly, your cheeks getting red. He looked so cute when he was sleeping, so peaceful. You ran your hands through his hair, mussing it a little. His yellow-peach hair was so soft. "How can a boy be so adorable?" You thought as you slowly fell asleep as well.

When you woke up again, you sensed Zenitsu in the house, fighting off demons while... sleeping? No, that couldn't be right. Your demon senses were probably a bit groggy because you fell asleep.

In only a few minutes, Zenitsu and Tanjiro were kicked out of the house, along with another blue haired boy and a boy Y/N presumed to be the kids brother.

Zenitsu started running toward you, crying and screaming. This eventually woke the kids up, who were overjoyed about seeing their brother again. They thanked you all and quickly left to go back home.

You saw the blue haired boy, whose name was Inosuke trying to open the box, which Zenitsu stopped by protecting it with his body. Before Inosuke could harm or yell any further, you sang a song to put him to sleep. When he was finally knocked out, you sighed in relief.

"Arigato Y/N San, for helping us." Tanjiro said, bowing. He was nervous that you had eaten the kids or Zenitsu while he was in the house, but you had proven you could resist human blood. "No problem. Thank you for saving the children's brother when I couldn't. Now, their brother is safe once more."

"Y/N CHAN I MISSED YOU SO MUCH IT WAS SO SCARY IN THERE. CAN YOU COME WITH US?!" Zenitsu screamed, hugging on tightly to you. You blushed at the contact and nodded. "I don't see why not. You like to help humans, not hurt them. You could help us." Tanjiro said, smiling. "YAY! Y/N CHAN IS COMING WITH US!"
