I always make the Giyu oneshots long as heck 😭 my hands hurt now, but its worth it for Giyu 😩

Giyu sighed to himself. He was injured, yet again. It wasn't 100% life threatening, but definitely not something to be ignored. Giyu groaned, even as his stomach began to swirl in anticipation. Two events were going to occur, one he didn't necessarily mind, and the other he'd rather skip entirely.

The sound of footsteps broke him from his thoughts, as a person ran up to him. He turned his head, already knowing who they were. Y/N L/N, a kakushi of his that was the only one out of the entire demon slayer corps, that he was a bit fond of. Just a bit.

"Tomioka-sama, do you need some help, or do you think you can manage?" they asked, scanning his body for injuries. It didn't matter what he said, the kakushi was still going to get involved no matter what. "I'll take your silence as a yes, then." they said, after a quiet moment.

They walked over to the Water Pillar, and kneeled down. They had bandages in their palm, which was one of the only places that wasn't covered and hidden with the uniform meant to keep them anonymous. They unrolled it, ripping out a decently sized bandage before wrapping it around some of the bloody parts of his arms, which had holes where the injuries were, since it was slashed open. The demon was particularly more difficult than the usual, and so, much of his uniform and, to his dismay, some of his haori, were torn. In no time, Y/N had expertly wrapped the bandage to his injuries.

"Tomioka-sama, can you take off your shirt?" she asked, as she began pulling out more bandages. A tint of pink rose in his cheeks from the way her request sounded, which definitely sounded like something else if you were not paying attention to the situation. Giyu only nodded, lifting his shirt over his head, until his toned, muscled body was laid bare in front of his kakushi, littered with bruises and wounds, along with old scars. Thankfully, the kakushi's uniform hid their burning face.

They worked diligently, wrapping more bandages around his injuries, their fingers more often than not brushing over his skin and abs. Giyu twisted his head away, to hide his own colored face.

"The demon must've been more difficult than usual, you have far more wounds than expected." Giyu nodded, shame overcoming him. He held back a sigh. "I've gotten so soft and weak... yet another reason why I don't deserve the hashira position." he berated silently, shutting his eyes closed.

"Thank you, so much. No matter the cost, selfless swordsmen like you fight valiantly to protect us. We don't deserve such kind people." the statement snapped Giyu free from his condescending thoughts. He turned his gaze toward you, a look of surprise and disbelief spreading on his face. And... a feeling of warmth also engulfed him. "It's the truth, Tomioka-sama. And it's an honor to work with a person such as you." they continued, their eyes gentle and warm as they flitted from Giyu to his wounds and back.

They then began to focus more on patching his wounds, humming softly. Meanwhile, their words sank into Giyu's mind, who was frozen from shock, a rosy hue on his face.

"Do they really mean that? Or are their words just teasing me?" He thought, glancing at the ground. He looked back at Y/N, scanning what little of their face that was visible. Their eyes shone, nothing but genuine adoration for the Water Pillar. The next few moments had Giyu feeling incredibly warm, and he found it hard to breathe with their presence.

"Giyu." he stated, causing the kakushi to pause. They turned their eyes to his face, surprise and confusion enveloping their features. "Refer to me as Giyu, L/N-san." he responded after a moment of silence. "Please." he almost said, but kept it in his thoughts. The kakushi smiled, pink spreading throughout their face. "Alright then, Giyu-sama. Thank you." they replied, and Giyu only nodded. "You can also call me Y/N as well." they added, causing Giyu's face to heat up.

"How are they so kind... and to me... the useless Pillar." He thought, incredulous. "No matter the cost, selfless swordsmen like you fight valiantly to protect us. We don't deserve such kind people." Y/N's words flashed through, his mind, reminding him of his worth. And even if he didn't believe in himself, there was someone who did.

"Alright, I've finished patching up your injuries. You can report to the Butterfly Estate for a final checkup of your wounds, just to be sure you're completely okay." Y/N stated, standing up and handing Giyu his torn shirt. Giyu stood up as well, and took it from their hands. "Kocho... I think I could go a day without seeing her." he thought to himself.

What he really wanted to do was spend time with the one person in the corps that cared about his well-being. "Maybe... we could eat lunch together..." he thought. "Hey, Y/N-san..." he began, staring at the floor. He looked up, and saw Y/N had left, far enough they wouldn't have heard his words, but close enough that Giyu could still see her clearly without squinting. He sighed. He watched as Y/N waved goodbye before finally turning around for good. "Next time..." He thought. He then prayed for another mission to get injured on, as he began to leave as well.
