6. Temptations

"Singh I'll kill you if you drop her." Haseena warned. Karishma was holding Kiara high above her head as she ran across the living room. Kiara let out a cackling laugh which even made Haseena smile. It was one of the rare days when Karishma had an off and Haseena had chosen to stay home and let her employees handle the cafe.

"Calm down Mallik Kiara ko maza aah raha hai dekho na kaise hass rahi hai." Karishma said, as she zoomed past Haseena.

"I hope she vomits on your face. Yaad hai Santu ke birthday." Haseena said, and laughed remembering Kiara's vomit dripping from Karishma's face. Karishma silently placed Kiara on her chair strapping her to it also remembering the incident. Haseena eyed her and started laughing loudly again and Karishma frowned. It was two months ago when Kiara was in her vomiting phase and Karishma had innocently played in a very similar manner with her godchild. Kiara had vomitted on her favourite baseball cap that day.

Haseena was cooking their breakfast and she didn't mind the show but the way Karishma handled Kiara scared the hell out of her so she came up with a creative idea to make her stop. Karishma had just now returned from her jog her tank top stuck to her sweaty body and she somehow had no problem with it.

"Naha toh lijiye please you smell awful. You're ruining my day off." Haseena commented, flipping the pancake and catching it successfully. She smiled proudly at Karishma but Karishma had an evil smirk pasted on her face.

"Umm Mallik tumne naha li kya?"

"Of course. Hum aapke jaise nahi hai." Haseena remarked with a superior expression not yet recognising Karishma's true intentions.

"You know what? We should hug each other. To celebrate us getting Kiara's custody. Come on bring it in co-parent." Karishma said walking towards Haseena with an evil smirk.

"Don't even think about it Singh. Hato aap humare paas mat aana." She pointed the spatula as if it was a sword but Karishma held her wrist holding the spatula away from her. She found it adorable how Haseena put no effort behind her threat and just let her pin her hand against the counter.

They were a foot apart and Haseena could now closely look at how the perspiration made Karishma weirdly alluring. Karishma's black tank top gave her an ample view and she didn't mind being so close for one second.

"Singhhh." Haseena screamed but Karishma was already too close so close that Haseena could feel her breath on her face. Karishma put her arm around Haseena's waist pulling her closer in a jerk which made her involuntarily place her hand around Karishma's shoulder for support.

It was obvious that Karishma's childish intention was to get her sweaty self close enough to Haseena for her to feel disgusted enough that she had to bathe again but she had instead created an awkward and tense situation. Neither of them had it in them to look away from each other's eyes as Karishma continued to hold Haseena close, her grip on her waist never once faltering. It was comforting and warm and they both would rather die than accept the fact that they were attracted to each other.

Karishma eyed Haseena's mole just below her lips. A feature she'd always found alluring. It was like that simple feature demanded her to kiss it as if challenging her to get so close to Haseena's lips. She was also glad that Haseena had tied her hair in a loose bun. It just enhanced her view of Haseena's long neck. Haseena gulped and Karishma observed how that made the muscles around her neck move. She was observing her too closely. Haseena saw Karishma looking at her lips and that involuntarily made her part her lips and Karishma's body reacted before she could and her hand the one around Haseena tightened pulling her as close as she could be and Haseena adjusted her arm around Karishma her fingers gracing the back of her neck. She gasped at being pulled closer her gasp only made Karishma lean in closer eyes not yet leaving Haseena's lips. Haseena closed her eyes when their noses touched.
