Jay's Pov:

Day two of the journey, and this is how it starts. They had camped out in the forest again. But the rations weren't going to last long. They barely had some for breakfast if you could call it that. Jay still tried to approach the dark lander, but to no avail since Lloyd never open fully.

That night, he had slept on a tree. Which was kind of weird for Jay, but understandable.

Now, they needed to get some more supplies before continuing their journey. The problem was, Jay wasn't sure how Lloyd was going to take it.

"So, you are suggesting a stop?" Lloyd asked, his eyes were still on the road.

"Yeah, we need supplies after all." Jay answered.

"And do you know a place where we could get them?"

Jay smiled at that; he knew just the place. After some walking, they finally had a city at their sight.

"Alright, good news. There are not so many guards here, it's super rare they come across."

"And the bad ones?" Lloyd asked.

"There's a perimeter in every entry that checks everyone. And they're equipped with some kind of detector that tells if there's a dark lander pretending to be human."

"That's okay. We'll just have to skip them." Lloyd said while crossing his arms.

"...... You did hear the part about the guards in every entry, right?" Jay asked.

"Yeah, but we won't walk right through them."

"Then may I ask how you are planning to get in?"

Lloyd didn't answer him, he just flashed a smile that made Jay a bit nervous.

"Follow me" he said as he went back into the forest.

Jay didn't question him. If he wanted to get to know Lloyd better. He would have to trust him. They walked back to the darkest parts of the forest before Lloyd stopped right in his tracks.

"This should do it" he said to himself.

"Um- what should do what?" Jay inquired as he walked to be beside the blond boy.

"This should be enough shadow; we can travel through them to get in unnoticed."

"You can do that?" Jay asked amazed.

"Yeah, but I prefer not to. Unless it's necessary." Lloyd said, looking in another direction.

"Just, take my hand." He said while reaching out for Jay. "Come on, don't make it weird."

Jay reluctantly took the boy's hand. This was weird, he saw no way how someone could do that. But either way, here they were.

Lloyd started to walk right into the shadow of a tree. Out of nowhere, shadows started to entangle him and soon they reached Jay. Before he could even try to say something, he was engulfed in darkness. But the next thing he knew, he was standing in one alleyway inside the city. The buildings gave them a lot of shadow, not many people were even near the area. It was amazing!

"Wow, how did you do that?" Jay exclaimed.

The boy only bit his lips before saying "a trick my dad thought me, it's nothing" and retrieving his hand immediately.

"Well, where can we get some rations?" Lloyd asked quickly, hiding his hands in his jacket's pockets.

"I have a friend who can helps us with that." Jay said with a smirk. Lloyd nodded before shifting into his human form. The only thing that didn't change was his eyes colors and a little pair of horns.
