Lloyd's pov:

Lloyd was still shocked at the information, and even more confused at it. Did he really just waste some precious days?!?! His mission was to find the forces of his uncle to help them, but how could he have known that the guy he'd been traveling with could lead him directly to it?!?!

And to add to the chaos and mess his mind had created, the ghost boy had decided to literary forget they couldn't phase through things like him and leave them behind.

And now the maze of secret passages looked even more imposing than before as they ran around, trying to get any sign of the ghost or of any exit.

"Look! There's some light over there!" Jay exclaimed over his steps, bringing Lloyd back to the world.

They both sprinted to the wall that was starting to slowly close to taunt them. Fortunately, Lloyd managed to slip through the thin opening before being left behind. Only to find himself crashing nose front with the next closing door in front of him as his blue companion squeezed through at the last seconds.

Blood rushed to his nose as his head hit hard on the ground with a thud. As he opened his eyes the roof seemed to dance around with the tall columns that reached it.

"Ugh, just my luck" Lloyd said as he covered his nose and sat up. He immediately inspected the brownish wall and looked for any signs of anything that could open it again. But only barely hearing the muffled shouts of someone behind the wall.

"Found one!" a clearer and louder voice exclaimed from the end of the hall where Lloyd was and made him flinch. He snapped his head towards the sound, only to see the same guard with braided blue hair from before slicing her sword out and running to him.

He didn't waste a minute to get back up and summond his powers to stop the deadly blade. The knight sent daggers to him through her yellow eyes as she retrieved her sword and sent dangerous slashes to Lloyd. Each hit was either dodged or stopped by the green light before it started to return the attacks, being very effective at making the opponent retreat.

"What's going on here?" another voice resonated through the walls.

Lloyd's eyes slipped for a second to see a spiky hair at the end of the hallway, hand on the handle of the sword. He faltered for a second, not sure how to react to the newcomer.

He only went back to the battle when he felt the knight kick him to the ground, knocking the air out of him as his back crashed against the marbled floor.

"No escape this time" she said before Lloyd felt a cold metal next to his face, her blade pinning him to the floor and catching his jacket and shirt in between. "I'll make sure of that" she grinned.

Lloyd could only see out of the corner of his eyes as Kai made his way to them. The guard only grinned when noticing he had come to see her job. That was her mistake.

"Sorry, just business" Kai said before Lloyd, or the other soldier could understand what that meant.

Kai's sword was up, the shaft up in the air before diving down and hitting the other knight. The dead sound quieted everything around as the body fell to the floor motionless.
