Everything felt wrong as you look at yourself in the mirror with your hair up, make up done beautifully, and in a wedding dress that you felt like such a different person in. You knew as soon as you sat down that this wasn't what you really wanted leading to you writing a note handing it to your sister who was fixing to go down the aisle as a bridesmaid who immediately agreed to tell everyone while you change out of the dress and sneak out the back door of the building taking a stomach med to calm down your messed up stomach from your anxiety and the stress of your hectic relationship that had ended a month earlier but he kept asking you to stay and marry him due to your hectic schedule as a wrestler and your mental state but you were done and weren't in love with him anymore after most of the things that happened because of him. "Need a lift babydoll?" you stop when you hear a car but a smile forms on your face seeing your friend Kevin who was in his truck wearing his hair in a ponytail and an Outsiders shirt, you both laugh and joke around driving along heading with him out of town for one of his matches slowly opening up about what had happened when he realized that today was your wedding only laughing with the most incredulous look on your face before both of you were laughing uncontrollably about the irony of how your day started and a bundle of nerves you were leading to now heading out of town with your friend laughing full of life like you hadn't been in awhile noticing kevin watching you leaving putty as the two of you stop to fill the car with gas and eat before an unexpected surge of courage flows through you taking a swig of whiskey before getting back in the car and finishing the last few hours of the drive. Kevin notices the change in your demeanor as the drive continues on finally pulling over from how worried he was "Did something happen to you?" you shake your head as he leans in closer with his hands on your shoulders before you finally close the gap quickly pulling away wide eyed and stuttering thinking you had just lost one of the most important and greatest friendships you ever had until he pulls you out of the passenger seat to straddle him in the front seat "I love you, for so damn long" the next kiss is longer and tender before laughing as you get back in the passenger seat and finish the drive to the arena for his match on Nitro spending the rest of the night together after dinner with your shared friends before making up for lost time in the hotel room "You're the one I want the biggest and smallest things in life with no matter what" another kiss is shared before falling asleep tangled together excited for the future with kevin and the real life you wanted.
