Bret felt happy that you wanted to spend the winter with him in his hometown and spend some time with his family needing to get away for awhile not just from where you were currently living but also from your job. You look around in awe as bret drives to his childhood home where his parents still live laughing when he sees his younger brother Owen building a snowman with their niece as he pulls in and parks smiling at owen as he runs and hugs you glad to be back in Calgary and staying much longer than two days when you had first met his family three months back and at stadiums while on the road with bret finally getting some time to truly get to know his family during the stay, the smile on your face grows bigger seeing and talking with the rest of his family feeling your heart swell at him being such a gentleman with his mom and sisters along with playing with his young nephews and nieces before heading to his fixed up room and sleeping after dinner waking up and making breakfast with his mom and younger sister while he and owen help his dad shovel the snow outside before everyone ate breakfast together feeling a warm sense of family as all of you eat and talk. Bret comes upstairs from the basement training with his dad, owen, and his two brother in laws only to see you and his mom on the couch looking at family pictures absolutely in awe of seeing pictures of the family together and bret as a kid with his siblings before you were walking hand in hand with bret down the street bundled up to keep warm exploring the city hearing stories of his walks to and from school, going to the store for junk food and candies, trips to the park and movies with his family whenever they could afford to go, and making new memories with you there growing a love for the Canadian town as winter slowly goes by enjoying the days of getting coffee, walking around town, and being with his family leading him to talk with owen knowing immediately seeing you with his family that you were the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you, "Move in with me here" you look at him with a look of surprise before smiling and laughing agreeing and two months later the two of you were living in a house not far from his parents in calgary.
