The boys laughed seeing you run to them in the airport while squealing after you had been away on a trip with your family to the Dominican Republic to celebrate your dad's birthday and your sister and brother in law's anniversary. You unpacked feeling fatigued and tired before taking a shower and eating lunch with the boys leading to Eddie finding you asleep in your rocking chair, both of them noticed how drained and washed out you were over the next two days making them think you had bad jet lag since you hadn't traveled in awhile or that you got the flu that would have you under the weather for a week or two with them going back on the road halfway through the second week which made them worried abit but you assured them you would be fine none of you aware where your health and life would lead in three weeks as you shared a hug with the boys before they left for the next four weeks. Two weeks passed by and you felt like death worn over even though you slept most of the time in between drinking tons of water and eating whatever your stomach could handle before you had taken up on your mom's couch when she had gone to the house to check on you only to see you walked into the wall, the next day your mom took you to the hospital after noticing your skin was orange knowing immediately you were jaundiced that was confirmed by doctors as blood was drawn which was the last thing you remember before your condition took a turn not knowing your mom called the boys who immediately rushed onto the first plane to San Diego from Rhode Island not expecting to find you looking completely lifeless while going through an exchange blood transfusion that took blood out of your body and replaced it with donor blood until two quarters of your blood was replaced over the next 28 hours. It seemed like an eternity as the boys along with your parents waited by your side hoping that you would turn a corner as time slipped away until you woke up three days into being in the hospital with Malaria, "Hey dad, haven't seen you and mom like this in awhile" the boys cried while your dad kissed the top of your head and your mom laid her head on your shoulder finding out about your fight with malaria over the next two days in the hospital before being released spending that first night having dinner with your family and the boys before you were on the couch sandwiched between Rey and eddie who never went a long time without placing a kiss on your hand or pulling you into a tender kiss that made you melt like butter until you burst into tears realizing just how close to death you were as the three of you shared emotional I love you's throughout the night.
