You lean down in front of Raven in the rafters above the ring with the night's show long over hours ago but neither of you left even after everyone else was long gone to their hotel rooms. "Did you mean anything you said?" he looks at you seeing the emotion in your eyes knowing what you were asking about, he was backstage and had heard some of the guys being rough and talking shitty of you which pissed him off not only since he knew how much harder you worked than anyone else on the roster and beginning to care and trust you but that he saw broken parts of himself in you and knew just how different you were than anyone else leading him to burst in and yell at them for how they were treating you behind your back not even having the decency to tell you the things they said to your face knowing they just could have told you and you have responded in your way which was taking no shit from anybody. You had heard everything he said when you went backstage after your match only to lock eyes with him as you walked away to your locker room, "I meant every word and...remember, you're not alone" your heart flutters at his tender words unable to control the chills that wash over you as his hands gently hold and caress your face followed by running over your lips before pulling you into his arms hearing each other's heartbeats and ragged breathing while melting into the moment of being pressed together in soft kisses giggling against his lips which made him smile until you hear Stevie and a few of the others on the roster below looking for the two of you. The two of you stayed hidden in the rafters until everyone was gone thinking that both of you were either in your hotel rooms or in town not knowing or thinking that the two of you would still be in the dark and empty building, "Are we hiding in the shadows?" you both smile not expecting him to wrap you in his leather jacket before driving around for the next hour and a half listening to rock music along with hitting the local convenient store snacks and drinks leading to the two of you smoking a blunt after parking on a trail near the woods, "Yea, we are in the shadows but we're on them together" you smile on the drive back to the hotel sharing an embrace and kiss outside your room seeing a sweet text from raven after changing and laying down agreeing to have lunch with him tomorrow before falling asleep with a big smile.
