"Are you guys sure about this?" Hope asked, slightly pleading for the ladder.

"Yes, we're sure" Jo replied. Hopes eyes trailed to Maya, her head tilted slightly to the side. "Is everything okay, Maya?"

The girl perked up, a small drop of sweat dripped from her forehead leaving the auburnette curious as to what was making her so nervous. "Yeah, yeah" She shook her head, never looking the girl in her eyes.

Hope let it slide, thinking this might not be the best time to push for answers.

"Okay, hold hands" MG held his out, nodding towards them.

"This is stupid" Hope sighed, grabbing hold of Jo and Lizzies hands. "This can work" The brunette whispered. Lizzie looked away from the two, slightly jealous more or so angry.

When all their hands locked, fears came unbroken. Hopes eyes landed on the two girls, dead before her. "You killed us !"

She closed her eyes, trying to ignore them. Trying to block out anything that would break her hope for the ending to this horrible day. "Hope for him dead !" Landon shouted just as the room grew louder, as the Greek God fought back against the power of hope.

Pages flew around then, their circle holding strong as Hope used the power of her mind to defeat a god. Something she never thought she'd have to do, something she thought wasn't powerful enough.

YOU KILLED US ! YOU'RE A MONSTER !

She gripped on to each side of the twins hands, hoping it would bring her comfort knowing that the real them, the them that was alive was right here. She could feel the warmness of their hands, the way she could feel their blood pump throughout their veins.

Be gone, be gone, be gone, be gone.

Hopes eye opened at the small gasp of the Phoenix. They widened, a knife was sticking through Landons stomach and before she knew it a hand was shoved in to her chest. It was cold, so cold. She let go of the girls hands, falling to her knees. No one noticed, no one could hear her unvocalized screams.

The group flew apart, the lights of the library turned back on and Hope found herself in a crack of a bookshelf. A book covering her face, she groaned picking it off of her and peeling herself from the crack.

"Guys?" She called, looking around.

"You can't protect me from yourself" Her eyes landed on Josie. "What?" She asked, not sure if she heard the girl right. "You can't protect anyone, not when its you we're all afraid of"

She walked forward, her eyes staring right into the auburnettes soul sending shivers down her spine. "How is this happening? I thought it worked."

She chuckled, her voice growing deeper. Almost as if she was becoming something else yet her face was still Josie. "Maybe you didn't want me gone, Mikaelson. Maybe this is what you see as getting even, as your enternal torture." She explained, her voice was so metallic and deep.

She took a step closer, basically reading the girl from the inside out with her eyes. Her head was tilted yet her skin was more alive, almost like the real Josies. Except her neck was still covered in blood, it dripped down her clothes like it was fresh.

Hope bowed her head. "You're right."

"But you don't deserve this !" Lizzie shouted, throwing a book at the figure. "You deserve much more than this !"

Josie grabbed hold of the auburnettes hand pulling her away. They stopped behind a few shelves, Josies hand still clinging on to Hope before she found comfort in the other. Her eyes were soft and understanding as they stared into the blue ones. "I know you'd never hurt me."
