"You were planning to take my magic" Hope slammed the paper on to the bed, looking to Kai for answers. "Its not what it seems" He took a step closer, grabbing her hands. "It was old plans, nothing I'd do now. I care about you."
She snatched her hands away from his grip. "You, yourself said you can't care about anyone. You killed your family, how am I supposed to rely on that?"
"The same way I rely on you, knowing all you've done."
Hope scoffed "You're using my past against me."
"Same as you" He grabbed the paper, folding it and stuffing it back in his bag.
"I need your help" Lizzie stood before the man, before her uncle. Forgetting all the bad hes ever done and expected a favor from him in return for her visit. "Wheres Hope? Let me guess, you came back against her wishes?" He chuckled, looking to the brunette. "Who are you?"
"Shes my twin, Josie."
"Josie?" He looked to the blonde. "As in—"
Lizzie cut him off, already knowing what he was thinking. "Yes"
"Are you going to help us or not?" Jo cut in, looking at him expectantly. She didn't take Hopes words for granted unlike her sister, she did not trust this man. She didn't care if he was blood, he wasn't worth her trust nor her respect.
He slounched down, fiddling with the knife in his hand. "Why should I help you?"
"Because we want to stop the merge" Lizzie proposed. "And we know that you know how."
"How does Alaric feel about your coming here? Or Hope?"
He smirked at the silence "Seems like you're betraying a lot of people by seeing me."
"They betrayed us first" Lizzie stood up. "If you wont help us, we can leave."
He chuckled, setting the knife down. "No, no. I like the company" He stood up, walking away from their little meeting. "I can't do what I have to do..here" He looked to them both. "If you get me out..I promise to help" He gave them both a smile, one of his best.
"No, Hope said not to trust you. You're trapped here for a reason, we're not letting you out" Jo said, taking a stand to make her point.
"Jo, lets think about this for a second" Lizzie pulled her aside. "Hes our only shot to living past twenty-two."
"I'm sure there is another way" Jo crossed her arms over her chest. "And this shouldn't even be considered an option. He tried to kill us before we were even born. You want to trust him now?!"
"Hence, tried" Kai cut in. "Sorry I got nosey, I was listening in. Look, that was nothing personal." He sighed, giving the two a pouty face. "It wont happen again"
"You're not getting out of here" Jo stood her ground, glaring in to his eyes. He sighed, looking to the floor. "I understand..."
Before anyone could even blink he knocked the brunette across the head, staring at the blonde as her sister fell to the floor. "What the hell is wrong with you!" She shouted, bending down to her sisters level.
"She reminds me so much of my sister" He huffed. "I always liked the blondes of the family more anyway" He turned around, grabbing a map. "I'll lead you to the tunnel, you'll free me and I'll stop the merge. We'll both get what we want. She'll be fine in a few hours, she would have never let us do this. You don't want to die..do you?"
Lizzie looked up at him with determination. "Double cross me and ill make sure that its me you're fearing" She threatened.
He backed away with his hands up. "Scary" He said in a sarcastic tone. "Come on, we don't have much time." He grabbed her arm, only for her to pull away. "Don't rush me, give her a pillow or something" She demanded.
