Melody's brother Max verstappen has banned her from dating any of the formula one drivers. But what happens when a certain Lando Norris catches her eye..
"COME ON MAX!" I shout waving the checkered flag as he drives past and takes P1. I'm so proud of him. Growing up was never easy, especially with my dad, so I'm so happy he's untouchable now. At the top of his game. And honestly, living his life so much better.
I run down to greet him and he jumps out the car making a beeline for me. "I'm so fucking proud of you" I say squeezing him tight. He takes his helmet off, "Thank you Melody. I'm so happy you're here" he says hugging me. Christian walks over and pats Max on the back, "Well done lad. Amazing race. You should be really proud of yourself today" he says before turning to me, "Melody can you believe your brother. He's on fire!" He says excitedly before walking off. Christians been like a father figure I guess to me and Max. Our own dad he's well. Not a father figure. Geri walks over and hugs Max, "Well done! We're hosting a party tonight with a few of the other drivers and team principals to celebrate before silly season" she says nodding to us both. I smile, "Well be there. Thank you" I say. Max nods to me that he's got to go to the podium and walks off.
I watch as everyone cheers and celebrates him on top. I know it's been rough this season, as Max wins quite a bit recently but it's not fair on him. I'm just grateful for moments when people actually cheer him on like they did to Lewis. I take a few photos of him and upload it to my instagram.

Lando is Max's teammate. They've been racing together for the first time this season and it's been intense at times. But I know Lando has a good heart and wants the best for Redbull not just himself. Unlike a few of Max's other teammates... anyway. I'm currently chilling in the Redbull motorhome until they're done with the media. I haven't exactly met Lando before. Im ashamed really because I've missed most of Max's races since the start of the season because of work. I do influencing so I travel a lot which usually means my work is crossing over with his races. Anyway, I'm not afraid to meet Lando but I'm interested to know what he's like.
They both come bursting into the motorhome laughing. "Good day for media?" I ask standing up. Max nods, "Amazing. Lando was halarious in the interviews" he says nudging Lando. Lando smiles and then looks up to me. His gaze doesn't tear from my eyes. Max clears his throat, clearly noticing the moment I think I've just had with Lando. "No no. Mel is off limits Lando. I know what your like" he says rolling his eyes. I laugh, "Max seriously. There would never be anything anyway I know your rule" I say giggling. Lando nods slowly and breaks his gaze, "What? Oh yeah sorry" he says focusing back on Max. Max laughs, "Seriously mate. Never gonna happen" he says pushing him gently. Lando smiles. "Im going toilet quickly. Be back in a sec" Max says before darting out the room.
Lando watches the door close and then turns back to me. "So. Melody huh?" He says walking closer to me. I shrug, "Lando huh?" I mimick. He laughs, "How come I've not seen you around" he asks stepping closer to me. I step back and forget the walls behind me, leaving me leaning against the wall. Lando walks so close I can feel his breath on my lips, "I've just been busy travelling" I say trying to divert his gaze. He smiles, "You travel a lot?" He asks. I nervously laugh, "No I mean yeah kind of" I say gulping slightly. Lando scans my eyes, "Pretty and gets nervous around me. I like that" he says slowly. We both hear Max coming back and I shove Lando away, "Shut up. Did you not hear Max. Im off limits" I say grinning and walking away. I feel Lando's eyes burning the back of my head as I walk away.
