Melody's brother Max verstappen has banned her from dating any of the formula one drivers. But what happens when a certain Lando Norris catches her eye..
"Morning Mels" Lando says waking me up. I stir awake, "My head hurts" I groan. He forces a smile. "What's wrong?" I ask sitting up in the bed. Why am I in the motorhome? "You got drunk with Daniel." He says turning away from me. Oh god. I remember now. Lando. Omg he won. "OMG BABY WELL DONE FOR WINNING" I say leaping up and hugging him tight. He smiles and kisses my arm. "Thanks darling" he says.
"No fuck did I miss your celebration?" I ask looking around. He shakes his head, "You've only been in here a couple hours while I was doing media Mels." He says bluntly. "Lando I'm so sorry" I say hugging him tight. He relaxes in my touch a bit more. "I know Melody." He says. Ok he's mad. I reach over and take a sip of the water on the side. "Baby. I promise. It was an accident. We were only gonna have one drink" I lie. He gets up and turns to face me. "I just don't understand why you thought to hang out with him babe" he says crossing his arms. I know we're supposed to be mad. But my god does he look fit. "I know. I'm sorry. Everything's just a lot to deal with at the moment and it's a release" I say getting out of the bed. I feel a bit dizzy and collapse in his arms. "You need food darling" he says lowering me back onto the bed. I shake my head, "No I want to celebrate with you. I just got up to quickly" I lie standing up again and trying to get a hold of myself.
"And you were with that Matt guy." He says nodding slowly. I sigh, "Lando honestly. I don't know what's wrong with me right now. Since Max told me about the rape I've just wanted to escape and Daniel helps me do that" I say tears filling in my eyes. He sits down next to me and slides his arms round my waist cuddling me close to him. "Baby I know. But getting drunk and high. It isn't a release. It's not good for you" he says kissing my shoulder. I nod and let out a few stray tears. He pulls away and wipes them with his thumb. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset" he says sighing. I nod, "No lando I know. But it's not fair on you." I say. He nods. "Let's just forget about it ok? But can you promise me baby." He says. I raise my eyebrows at him, "Promise you what?" I say confused. He sighs. "That you won't see Daniel again." He says looking down to the floor.
"Lando cmon he's my friend. He means well" I say shaking my head. Lando looks to me, "He doesn't. Promise me at the least you won't go and get off your head drunk and high when you're around him. In fact. No. If you guys ever want to hang out again. I come with you." He says scanning my eyes. He's right. I can't keep doing this to him. It's not fair. "I promise. If I ever see Daniel again, you will be by my side" I say smiling to him. He smiles shaking his head, "Melody Verstappen you will be the death of me." He says. I blush, "Lando Norris you are the love of my life." I say hugging him hard. We cuddle for a bit and then decide to get up and go back to the apartment.
