She's not even wrote a caption properly. She must be off her head. I race into the other room and show Max the post. "Who the fuck is Daniel Freinz" I say furious. He stands up, "No fucking way" he says walking to the door. I follow him, "Max who is he?" I ask scanning his eyes. He runs to me rage in his eyes, "The fucker that got her addicted to alchohol and drugs when she was 18. I banned her from seeing him. Why is she doing this" he says pacing the room. "Melody was addicted?" I ask him. He nods, "Badly lando. Not so much the drugs. But the alchohol nearly got her into rehab" he says sitting down now. "And who's Daniel?" I ask concerned. "He makes her do stupid shit. Like this" he gestures to the post. "And have they ever been together?" I ask him more worried now. "God no. He's got a boyfriend. The one in the last photo. The whole group of them were a mess. I remember picking her up from college and she was high" he says shaking his head and putting them in his hands.
"We're getting her now" I say walking to the door. Max follows me. This isn't gonna be pleasant.
We rush into the club. What a shit hole. "Melody" I call pushing through the crowd. Which is when I see her. In her underwear. Pole dancing. With that Daniel kid filming her. I push my way to the front of the crowd and get up onto the stage. "Melody" I say racing towards her. She sees me and falls off her pole. Everyone laughs. I race over to her, "What the fuck are you doing" I say infuriated. She just giggles. "Hey man she's fine leave her" Daniel says pulling me down. I turn around and punch him round the face. Max is next to me now. "You're a fucking cunt" he says lunging at Daniel. Daniel pushes him off, "Woah guys the buzzkills here" he shouts. Everyone boo's me and Max but I don't care.
I put my hand to Melody's cheek. "Hey hey talk to me. What's going on" I say. She just laughs and then passes out. Fuck. "What has she taken" max screams at Daniel. He laughs, "Just edibles man she's fine" he says rolling his eyes. "I'm gonna fucking kill you" I say turning around to him. Daniel puts his hands up, "Woah kid. Calm down. I can get you taken off the paddock if you threaten me" he says smirking. I push him, "What the fuck are you talking about" I say. Max stands infront of us, "His dad. Part of the FIA" Max says. I scoff and go back to Melody. I pick her up in my arms and carry her with Max behind us out of the club. Melody is unconsciously passed out. What the fuck is going on.
We get an Uber back to the apartment and I carry her back up to her room. Max runs and gets water to put by the bedside. Melody slurs awake, "Go away" she yells at me pushing me back. "Melody stop" Max says coming in and sitting beside her. "So annoying" Melody says glaring to me but honestly slurring her words. Max calms her down and she starts to close her eyes again, "Mels water" he says handing her a bottle. I'm on the floor watching the way he's treating her. He's done this before. "Max your too caring" she says laughing. I stand up and sit beside her on the bed while he makes her drink water and sits her down. I don't know how to react. Everything is wrong. "Baby your in your underwear" I say going to the wardrobe and getting a loose fitting top of mine out. I hand it to her and she throws it on the floor, "Leave me alone" she yells at me and then smiling. "What's wrong with her?" I ask Max. He sighs, "She's on drugs Lando. She doesn't know who she's talking to or what really she's doing" he says standing up.
"What do I do?" I ask him. He sighs, "It might be best if you go Lando. She won't settle" he says. He can't do this. "Max please I can help" I say sitting back down. "Fuck off Lando you cunt" Melody pipes up. She can't mean that. "Don't want to be with you anymore so bye bye" she says waving to me. My heart sinks. Max notices my expression. "Lando she doesn't mean it. I told you she's high. Go" he says gesturing to the door. I can tell when I'm not wanted. I get up so angry and leave.
