My weakness

Chapter 8 : Homework only?

Jesse went to Billie's house to work on the project, knowing that the atmosphere would not be the most pleasant. Billie, for her part, was ready to face this forced collaboration.

Jesse knocks at her house, Billie opens with a sigh.

Jesse (entering casually): "Hi, project partner. Ready for this intellectual adventure?"

Billie (sighs): "As much as I can be. But I'm warning you, if you don't do your part, I won't hesitate to let you know."

Jesse (laughing): "Okay, okay. Don't get yourself all worked up. So, what do we have to work with?"

Billie (pointing to the global warming topic): "Global warming. We need to come up with creative solutions to raise awareness of this issue."

Jesse (grimacing): "Seriously? Can't we just make a brochure or something?"

Billie (frustrated): "This is serious, Jesse. This is a big deal. So let's focus. What ideas do you have?"

Jesse (teasing): "Oh, I know! We could have a concert, 'Let's Cool the Earth with Rock'. You know, rock the planet."

Billie (annoyed): "Stop joking around. We have to take this seriously."

Jesse (laughing): "Okay, okay. We'll find something that works. And by the way, your heart's racing, Billie. It sounds like working with me is getting you all worked up."

Billie (exasperated): "Shut up, Jesse. Let's just focus on work."

Jesse (focused): "Well, let's start by listing the problems associated with global warming."

Billie (surprised): "I didn't expect to see you so involved in this."

Jesse (smiling): "Well, even rebels can care about the planet, you know."

As their collaboration progressed, Jesse and Billie began to work effectively together. At one point, however, Jesse, perhaps to break the tension, took Billie's hand.

Jesse (teasing): "We make a great team, don't we?"

Billie (blushing): "Uh, Jesse, we're supposed to be working."

Jesse (laughing): "Oops, sorry. Just a little distraction."

Billie (also laughing): "You just can't stop messing around, can you?"

Jesse (satisfied): "I have to admit, working with you isn't as terrible as I'd imagined."

Billie (smiling): "It's mutual, actually. We make a good team."

Jesse and Billie decided to take a well-deserved break from their hard work. Billie, wanting to create a relaxed atmosphere, suggested Jesse have a cup of tea with some cookies.

Billie (smiling): "Would you like to take a break and have some tea with me? I've got some cookies too."

Jesse (teasing): "Tea? Do you think I'm old, Billie?"

Billie (laughing): "No, I take you for someone who needs to calm down a bit. Tea could do wonders for your overexcited mind."

Jesse (also laughing): "Okay, okay. Tea's fine. But I hope you've got some cookies exciting enough to make up for it."

Billie (laughing): "We'll see what I have in stock."

After a snack, Jesse and Billie resumed their homework on global warming. Jesse, always one for a joke, couldn't resist making a teasing remark.

Jesse (laughing): "You know, Billie, I think you're the one warming up the planet with all this heat."

Billie (tapping his shoulder in a friendly way): "Stop with the jokes, Jesse. We've got work to do."
