As they were about to sleep together again.
Feeling Billie's tears, Jesse instinctively tightens his embrace, offering a wordless reassurance that she is not alone. As her tears fall, he softly whispers, "It's okay, Billie," his voice a gentle melody of understanding

Jesse, noticing Billie's tears and difficulty breathing: "Hey, sweetheart, what's going on? Talk to me."

Billie, between sobs, struggling to speak: "I-I don't know, Jesse. It's just overwhelming. I can't... I can't breathe."

Jesse, gently wiping away her tears: "It's alright, Billie. Take slow breaths. I'm here with you. What's overwhelming you?"

Billie, voice shaky: "Everything, Jesse. It feels like too much, and I can't shake off this heaviness."
Jesse, holding her tighter: "You're not alone, Billie. I'm right here. Let it out.

Jesse, feeling the fragility in Billie's vulnerability, is consumed by an overwhelming urge to protect her. His protective instincts kick in, and he cradles her delicately, as if shielding something precious from the storm.

Jesse, soothingly: "Billie, let's take it slow. Breathe with me, okay? In... and out. Nice and easy."

Billie, between deep breaths: "I'm trying, Jesse. It's just... so much."

Jesse, gently wiping away her tears: "I know, love. You're not alone. We'll navigate through this together. What's on your mind?"

Billie, opening up: "I don't even know, Jesse. Everything just feels overwhelming."

Jesse, reassuringly: "It's alright not to have all the answers. I'm here for you, no matter what. Let's focus on your breath. In... and out."

Billie, hesitatingly: "Jesse, there's something I need to share. I've been carrying this... this trauma. It's like a heavy weight that won't let go."

Jesse, gently: "You can tell me anything, Billie. I'm here for you."

Billie, opening up: "It's from a while ago, a part of my past that still haunts me. The memories resurface unexpectedly, and it's hard to breathe."

Jesse, tenderly: "I'm here to listen, Billie. Take your time."

Billie, sharing her pain: "It was an accident, a car crash. I lost someone I loved, and the guilt... it's like a shadow that follows me."

Jesse, softly: "I'm so sorry, Billie. You don't have to carry this alone. I'm here for you, every step of the way."

Jesse, enveloping Billie in a reassuring hug, senses the tremors coursing through her body. He feels the rapid beating of her heart against his chest, a tangible manifestation of the emotional storm she's weathering.

Jesse, softly: "I've got you, Billie. You're not alone."

With a heart full of love and a sense of profound connection, Jesse falls asleep, still holding Billie in a tender embrace.
