This chapter is angst and it involves accidental death (Murder) and there will be  suicide in part 3/3

Life is worth living, things are going to get better, you'll be okay.
You'll be okay.
I'm here.

Juicy's POV
The cold was seeping through my jacket and I shivered, putting my already freezing hands as deep into the pockets as they would go. My hands were warming up, but everything else hurt from the cold.

All I had on me was my wallet and Eddie's birthday gift, which was small enough to fit in my pocket, so that's where it was. It was a new band for his favourite watch, he was complaining about how the colour had faded from how much he wore it, so I think he was hinting that that's what he wanted. It was in a neat little box that was custom made with his name on it, but the box was bigger than the watch band because once the new band was on the watch, that would be the new case for the watch as well.

There was a letter folded neatly inside the box, it explained how grateful I was for our friendship, how much I loved him like a brother, and how I hoped we could be friends forever. I almost cried writing that letter. I laughed at the thought of it, crying over words on paper sounds ridiculous.

I smiled, imagining his reaction when he saw my gift, hoping tomorrow would come a little faster so I could give it to him sooner.

It had finished raining not too long ago, I forgot to bring my phone with me, so I had no idea it was going to rain. I really didn't feel like driving today, and I made the mistake of taking the bus into town, and then I missed the last bus of the evening, so I had to either wait until the later busses, or walk home, and I chose the second option, since I couldn't call anyone without a phone.

I was about halfway home, and I picked up my pace, since I was walking through the sketchy part of my town.

I saw someone leaning on the wall of a building, and I crossed the street, not wanting anything to do with the people in this neighbourhood. He disappeared into the alleyway and I sighed, relaxing slightly.

From the corner of my eye I saw someone running at me from the alley next to me, and I started running. I knew I couldn't fight him, he was way bigger than me.

As I was running, someone reached out and grabbed me from the alley I was running past, and I was pulled into the alley. I yelled for help but the person who grabbed me quickly covered my mouth, and I felt something cold and sharp touch my neck.

"You make a noise I'll fucking kill you." He said, and I knew he was serious based on the fact there was a knife up to my throat.

"What do you want?" I whispered once he took his hand away from my mouth.

"Everything you've got." He said, digging through the pocket that had Eddie's gift in it.

He grabbed the box and I mumbled a curse at him.

"What was that?" He said, he sounded angry, I knew he heard me, but I repeated myself louder.

"I said don't fucking touch that, retard." I yelled, and he took the knife away from my neck and stabbed my thigh and I yelled out in pain.

"The fuck did I say about making noise?" He hissed in my ear, looking around curiously, checking for witnesses.

"It's my friend's birthday gift, please just don't touch it, my wallet is in my other pocket." I said, looking him in the eyes, putting pressure on my thigh. Warm liquid was seeping through my fingers, so even though it was dark, I knew I was bleeding pretty bad.

"John just let him go." Someone else in the alley said, it was a girl.

"What the fuck did I say about using my real name?" John yelled, and the girl flinched and apologized quietly.

"It's bad enough that he saw my face. But he's gotta die now that he knows my name. The police can't find us." He said. My eyes widened when he said he was going to kill me.

I pushed him away from me and got out of the alley, but I couldn't run fast because of my leg. So instead of making my attempt to escape useless, I screamed for help, knowing he'd catch up to me soon.

Once he caught up to me, he tried to cover my mouth again, but I bit his hand until I tasted blood, and continued to scream once he tore his hand away from my mouth. Eventually he yelled out in anger and threw me to the ground, pulling something out of his pocket.

It was a gun.

"John No!" I heard the girl yell, but it was too late. I heard a click, then a bang.

"You shouldn't have come here. I'll tell your friend you said happy birthday, since you won't be able to." John laughed, walking away.

I gripped at my chest painfully, gasping for air. It felt like with every breath I took, it got harder to breathe, and the bleeding wouldn't stop.

The girl ran up to me, kneeling down by my side and apologizing over and over again, begging me not to die.

She grabbed her phone from her pocket, and I watched her dial 911. Once the operator answered the phone, she told the operator where we were and what happened, and I started to feel lightheaded and so cold.

The ambulance picked me up, but by that time I was barely alive, I remember people yelling at me, telling me I was going to be okay, then I fell into darkness, and the pain faded away. I didn't know if I was going to wake up again, but if I didn't, I was okay with that.

My life flashed before my eyes, and I realized, my life wasn't so bad. I did a lot of fun things with a lot of fun people, I'd miss them like hell, but that's what happens when you die. Maybe we could have been friends forever, only in a different life.

It was always kind of like a shower thought of mine, what really happened after you die, it never crossed my mind that one day I would find that out myself, even if I did knew one day I would die, I never thought I'd die from getting shot, that's wild.

I hope Eddie liked his gift, it's the last one I ever got the chance to give him.
