His Only Girl

It was a gloomy, rainy day and Erwin allowed the scouts to have the day off since it was Saturday. Gathering your things, you went to the mess hall to get breakfast for yourself.

"Y/n!" Petra waved her hand to you to come sit with them.

"Good morning Levi squad!" You sweetly called out to them and took your seat between Petra and Oluo. You took a bite out of your bread and listened to Eld talk about Levi's cleaning duties yesterday, causing Oluo to scoff.

"If only he hadn't been so grumpy lately, I don't know what's gotten into him lately." Oluo took a sip of his tea, trying to imitate your captain.

"Well, maybe Heichou had some things going on lately, don't put all the blame on him!" Petra quickly defended your captain in haste.

"He's probably just tired of the paperwork Commander Erwin assigned him," You sighed and took a sip of your hot chocolate. "He's been working really hard to get those done so he can go over the new expedition in a couple weeks."

"Hmm, you might be right Y/n. How is it that you always know what he's up to?" Eld teasingly questioned, him being the only one to know about you and Levi's quiet, but strong relationship.

You shot a glare at Eld and looked back at the others to see them all starring right at you, waiting for an answer.

"Is it not a requirement for all squad leaders and captains to fill out paperwork?" You shot back at Eld, almost warning him to not stretch it or Levi will have a field day with him.

"I suppose," Eld responded, as the others eyes went back and fourth between you two. He raised a brow and decided to tease more. "I just so wonder how he happens to find rest," He took a sip of his tea. "Or more so, who he goes to."

"Well, I'm positive he finds his-" Not knowing how to continue, you pause and to your delight, the doors flung open to reveal your captain.

"Oh hush Eld, the captain doesn't have a girlfriend." Petra nervously chuckles before noticing your eyes following her precious Heichou. "Right?" She questioned to Eld, to which he shrugged.

Petra had taken a liking to Levi, taking every opportunity to talk to him. You weren't aware she'd taken a liking to your captain (a/n: emphasis on your because he's yours hehe) but he never made conversation with her unless he absolutely had to. Levi had grabbed a cup of tea, and walked over to the table you all were sitting at.

"Good morning Heichou!" Petra squealed and to your delight, he didn't respond to her, but only nodded. He took a sip of his tea before directing his eyes to you, to which Petra noticed. He watched as the others engage in conversation, and occasionally made eye contact with you.

"Heichou, would it be possible for us to have private lessons on combat more?" Petra pleaded with Levi as he was putting his teacup down, frowning his face and furrowing his brows.

"For what?" He looked in her direction and waited for a response. "You all train with the other cadets. I do my paperwork in my office." Eld shifted uncomfortably in his seat, knowing Levi wouldn't take the hint.

But you sure as hell did, and decided to speak up for the first time since Levi came.

"I think we all could use some training, no? Never hurts." You shrugged your shoulders and looked at Petra. Much to her dismay, she looked at Levi one last time before speaking.

"Yes, I suppose that will do." Admitting her defeat, but that won't be the last shot she takes at your captain. Levi looked down at his empty tea cup before standing from his seat.

"It's supposed to be a rest day. No training Y/n." He looked at you, and you only before nodding to the rest of his squad, making his leave.
