Everybody is currently in the mess hall and talking to their friends. Tables were filled with cadets who spoke with one another, plates being emptied, laughter erupting from all sides of the room, accidental slips of drinks falling off the cups from fists banging on the table.
You walked into the mess hall and spotted your table, making your way to them. You were no captain, section commander, lieutenant, or any sort of power, you graduated as part of the 100 cadet camp, earning you in the top 5 ranks.
First in your class was Akari, he was by far the most advanced and excelled all his exams. Next came in Kayo, the only reason she never ranked as first was because she tends to get into more trouble, but her skills trampled her temper.
Then there was you, quiet and slightly timid. You aced all your exams in the academic section, but in the battlefield, you sometimes doubted yourself. Even through your doubts, you showed great strength and potential within the ranks. You all became a close knit group.
Much to everybody's surprise, the first 3 all decided to go to the Scouts. It's been a good 3 years since you graduated, and all your skills greatly improved. You learned best when you observed others during combat before you strike, but odds were, a titan wasn't going to give you time to observe their movements.
During the present time, you finally made your way to your small group.
"Hey Y/n! We didn't see you during breakfast, were you busy with someone?" Kayo exclaimed and wiggled her brows before Akari nudged her with his elbow. Giving him a 'wtf' look, she playfully rolled her eyes and made eye contact with you again.
"She wasn't with anyone bimbo," Akari stated, rolling his eyes before continuing. "Although Captain said you were a little late to training today, Y/n?" He questioned before Kayo jumped in her seat, putting a hand to her chin, attempting to know your whereabouts.
There were many captains, and you 3 were placed under Section Commander Hange's squad. Being in her squad meant you mostly spent time experimenting Hange's striking theories and rigorous training.
Every morning after the first hour of training, she would always exclaim how hard Captain Levi's training is, and how you had to have a strong will and resilience to even be noticed by him.
"Uh, I just stood up later then I was supposed to," You sheepishly chuckled and frowned. "It won't happen again guys, don't worry." Kayo sweetly smiled before digging into her own food and Akari shrugged his shoulders.
While having small talk, you all stopped when you heard your captain bursting through the doors with Commander Erwin, followed by Captain Levi trailing close behind.
"They're all always having some kind of important talk, huh?" Akari questioned, eyeing the trio before sighing.
"Yeah Akari, when we're captains and section commanders, I bet we'll be just as cool as them, you'll see!" She pipped up in her spot, attempting to find the trio in the Mess Hall and hummed. "Say, I don't ever see Captain Levi talk with them. I wonder if he has some kind of mute problem." Kayo tilted her head and tried imagining Captain Levi talk normally.
Akari bursted into laugher while placing his hands over his chest. "Kayo you're so curious about things that don't involve you." He huffed in his seat, placing down his silverware.
