Chapter 1: Back to Normality

Olivia straightened out her uniform one final time as she looked at herself in the mirror. She had no idea why, but for some reason it almost felt as if it was her first day at 51 all over again. Perhaps it felt different now that she was married. Olivia smiled as she took in her smart appearance. She knew the second she stepped into the firehouse again all her nerves would wash away.
"Someone's nervous." Antonio said, sneaking up behind Olivia, making her jump slightly.
"Hmm, I have no idea why." Olivia laughed.
"Post wedding nerves. Having to go back to reality, that's why." Antonio told her as he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind.
"As much as I love this, I better get going. Can't be late on my first day back." Olivia said, glancing down at her watch.
"Same." Antonio nodded, also due back at work that morning. They separated and Oliva picked up her jacket from the bed and slipped it on before she grabbed her work bag from the corner of the room.
"See you tomorrow night?" Olivia asked Antonio. Because her shift finished tomorrow morning when Antonio would be at work, she wouldn't see him until after his shift that evening.
"Yeah, be careful." Antonio nodded, pulling her in for a kiss.
"You too." She smiled, kissing him back before she walked out the bedroom. She grabbed her keys from the side before she headed out to her car. It was surprisingly sunny so she slid on her sunglasses that were sitting in one of the cupholders in her car before she turned on the ignition. Once she selected the right music playlist from her iPhone, she pulled out onto the street and headed towards work.

15 minutes later, she parked up on the street outside the firehouse. She took off her sunglasses and placed them back in the cupholder before she climbed out of the car, grabbing her bag as she did. She smiled as she started walking towards the firehouse.
"Hey, hey, hey! Mrs Dawson in da house!!" Cruz called out happily as he saw Olivia walk into the common room with her bag slung over her shoulder.
"Hey- it's still Fuller to you guys." Olivia smiled widely. She had decided she would still be going by Fuller at work as it made things a lot easier.
"How was the honeymoon?" Severide asked her as she hovered by the table.
"It was amazing! Honolulu is fucking awesome." Olivia responded.
"Liv, I'd like you to meet Jeff Clarke, who's returned to 51 to work on Squad 3 again."
"Ahh the new, but technically not new, member of squad 3 Chase was telling me about." Olivia laughed as she shook Clarke's hand.
"That's me." He smiled.
"Welcome back to 51 I guess." She added.
"Is that a new tattoo I spot?" Chase asked his friend, noticing the new ink on her arm. Olivia already had a few tattoo's but this one on her wrist was clearly new.
"Yep! Me and Antonio both got one. We wanted some matching but something small." Olivia explained as she showed it off properly.

"I also got this one!" She grinned, eagerly lifting the sleeve of jacket to show the tattoo on her upper forearm.

"Of course you got a harry potter tattoo." Chase laughed. He knew Olivia well enough to know just how much she secretly loved Harry Potter.
"Hey, this is subtle. I could have gotten a much bigger one." She laughed as she pulled her sleeve back down. Just then, the alarm sounded, alerting them to a new call-out.

Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 67.
Fire Alarm sounded at Whitmore Community Centre.

"Nothing changes." Olivia laughed as she placed her bag, that she hadn't had time to put away in her locker, on the table before running out towards the trucks with everyone else. Within a minute all three vehicles were headed towards the community centre.

Less than 5 minutes later they were arriving on scene.
"Well there's no smoke..." Olivia observed as they all climbed out the vehicles. They could hear the fire alarm going off from outside.
"Let's go check it out and see what's happening." Casey suggested, considering no-one was standing outside of the building and it didn't seem like there were any signs of an emergency going on. Severide nodded in agreement and they all headed inside, some carrying halogens and some carrying fire extinguishers just in case.
"Doesn't seem like anyone's around." Kidd noticed as they walked past the empty security desk located right by the main entrance.
"Well they must be open because the doors aren't locked." Gallo said as he peered into what looked to be a meeting room.
"Let's search the building." Severide decided, not wanting to leave until they were sure it was a false alarm. They all headed off down the main corridor, splitting off into smaller groups as they went, all going off in different directions to search the building quicker. There didn't appear to be anyone around. They all kept looking, determined to either find a person or a fire.
As they approached the end of the second corridor, still yet to find anyone or any source of a fire, they started to get suspicious. Liv went to speak.
"Do you think some kids prank-"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

A/N - Well, well, well! We're starting off Book no.2 with a BANG! (Quite literally!) What do you think will happen next? And also, I couldn't help myself and JEFF CLARKE is back on Squad 3! (I loved Clarke so much so just ignore that he became a doctor in med and left firefighting after an injury, in this book that doesn't happen and obviously he's still a firefighter!). 

Also, I know Gallo has left the show and Sylvie is leaving later this season, I just want to say that they WON'T be leaving my story :) (Just remember I just use the characters I like/want to so it doesn't always line up with the show :))
