One night I was in Summers room, putting her to bed after reading her a bedtime story and we'd had our usual nightly argument of who loved eacch other more which went something like this, "I love you more than thousands, milltions, trillions!" say I.
"Well I love you the most because I love you zilliens and hundreds!"
"I love you more than that!"
"I love you the most because I love you more than more!" and I'd decided that she'd won the argument. I'd left her red heart nightlight on because Summer couldn't sleep in the dark, and she had plasters on her fingers which was one of her obscure quirks that she liked to wear plasters every night and rest them against her nose to fall asleep, and I suppose this was just a very soothing sensation to her and part of her routine, and had other reasons too, but that being that, I blew her another kiss goodnight and told her I loved her and left the room saying goodnight my beautiful little baby girl.
...When she called me back and asked me a question: "How is that we know each other so well - you, Spirit and I - we always know what each other are thinking and feeling and what is wrong, and you and me always know why Spirit is crying and nobody else does, and Spirit and I always know when you are happy when other people are asking if something is wrong or when you are annoyed when everybody else thinks you are fine, and you can tell the same things about us. How is that?"
I told Summer the answer that came to mind at the moment which was "This is because we know each other by heart. When you were in your mummys tummy, a part of me was given to you both by GOD and you both recieved my own heart, and so this means that we know each other by heart. I believe that GOD did this with Spirit knowing that I would be her dad too and that Spirit chose me and our hearts were calling out to each other to find one another, and my heart has alwys belonged to you because you are mine, you are my daughter and my baby girl so i created your heart... well, God did but i helped him!" and I smiled at her. She nodded, quite content with my answer but I went downstairs and wrote a letter to her to tell her just how much i knew her by heart and took it back up to her in the hopes that she was still awake and i could read it to her before bed.
Now, I was thinking, what else was a graetest wish of Summers? Of course! For puppies and a kitten! I'd get working on that soon........ as it was this was already in plan. I'd found a breeder of a dog who was pregnant and would give birth in about 4 months time, and later we were planning on getting malete dogs, and as for a cat, I wanted myself a purebred black Tom cat.
