Before we start, I wanna apologize to the people who actually like and read this story. i hit a bit of a writer's block and stopped writing this story. It's been well over a year now and I'm happy to say that I've gotten some motivation and plan to just finish this once and for all. Please leave comments for ways you'd like to see this story go! - My head started to spin. I was too high on adrenaline and too tired. I hadn't slept much. All of this happened in a span of days. I just want to rest. I dialed the lieutenant on my phone, hoping he would answer and hear me out. I knew he would also believe what was on the news. Just had to make sure he heard my side of the story and present him with the evidence. I lowered my volume and moved from the door. I heard distinct sounds and a "Hello".
"Lieutenant! Thank God you answered. Listen I don't have much time so please listen-"
"You son of a bitch."
"Just hear me out. I didn't kill Lily."
"No, you listen to me. You have 20 minutes to get to the station. We've found evidence of everything you've done. I'm truly disappointed in you. I thought of you as highly as I thought of all the other superiors in our district. To imagine you committing such vicious acts is just... unbelievable."
"It's exactly that sir, I didn't do anything. I have proof! I was kidnapped by-"
"You took an oath, Aaron. You've never been known to lie."
"Are you even listening?! I didn't do anything!" I accidentally raised my voice. I heard footsteps approaching the room I was in. I panicked and scanned the room for places to hide. I quickly hid under the bed. Thankfully, the blankets were long enough to cover the bottom. He couldn't see me, and I couldn't see him. I hung up with the lieutenant as the door creaked open and opened my texting app. I quickly shifted my fingers from letter to letter.
"I'm the victim here! I don't care whether you want to believe me or not, but I didn't kill Lily. I was kidnapped. Either pick me up or I'll meet you with the evidence of who the real killer is." I sent him the address and could see Steven's feet from under the bed. His phone suddenly rang on the bed. He answered and put the call on speaker while looking around for something.
"Hello?"
"Yo, what's up man!" The other voice said. They sounded like they were drunk.
"Who is this?"
"Do you not have my phone saved dude? It's me~"
"Micah?"
"Yeah man~ I've got some good news."
"What is it?
"The Mistress is in town~!"
"She's already back?!"
"Yeah man~. She said she's coming over to your place. Wants to see your little boyfriend down there."
"Fuck man!" Steven groaned. "Why now? Can't we just facetime or something?"
"Don't question the boss's orders, man. I'm just giving you a heads up." I looked around and found no exit. The windows led to nowhere and the front door was not an option at the time. I had to make a run for it. I heard Steven opening a door and slowly opened the bedroom door. I saw him walking down the basement. Shit. Shit shit shit shit shit!!! He's going to notice! I didn't think of a backup plan. I didn't have much time. I quickly walked out and closed the basement door with him still inside. He immediately came running up and banging on the door.
"Aaron! You son of a bitch! Open the fucking door!! I swear I'm gonna kill you!! You're a dead man, you hear me?! Open the door!!" He kept shouting, banging rapidly. I went through the room with ease and made it to what seemed to be the master bedroom. I went through his things and found something...interesting. Something really needed. His gun
