Intrinsic Soverignty

I have always liked good potent words

Describing me, my personality and my life,

But the society, the people around me are so unreal,

I would rather prefer tea over their flattery.

I dont know how,

Do I think so unconventionally every time,

Or is it simply my thought process,

That sets me apart from those around.

I have always tried wondering over myself,

Content and joy now reside within me, for now

I have discovered my intrinsic value,

Since I have realized what certainly makes me.

My life is to be ruled by me,

For I stand as both the ruler and the boss.

People would pass judgements on me anyways,

For if they don't, then who would?

They speak of you, certainly

When they hold envy against you in their minds,

The fact that you are superior to them in every way,

Makes them jealous, is true on the inside part.

People would deceive me at times, either

In ways of criticization or underestimation,

Aiming to lower my worth in my eyes,

But how I wish they understood otherwise.

Now that I know myself,

I have realised, I dont need to seek

Reassurance, appreciation and validation,

For I am the ruler of my life.
