My heart has always beaten for you,

I wish you had cared to see,

But you chose to stay blind to my devotion,

For a chance you would have given me,

I would have made you see the light in darkness.

For you knew my love for you,

How selfless and pure it was,

Maybe you would have accepted me,

Unseeing the mistake I committed,

If only you could see beyond the flaws.

I long for a love that is reciprocated,

Where my feelings are acknowledged,

Yet I chose the one who couldnt see,

The depth of my affection, my love for him.

Everyday goes by in regret,

Regretting the mistake I committed,

I wish you could feel my remorse,

And give another chance,

For I know I am a person of my words.

I realized you were not worth my love,

For there was no acceptance in you,

For love requires trust and belief,

That I couldn't acknowledge from you.

Though my heart still beats for you,

But I have learnt my lesson,

To not settle for less than I desrve,

To find a love that's truly worth me.
