The voids in our hearts,
Are they truly ours?
Within ourselves, we're whole,
Yet we feel something's wrong.
Afraid to be just human, we fear,
Shy away from our own true identity,
For we feel judged and seen,
By eyes that dont truly care.
These masks that we have borrowed,
Our filtered mind, we dont realise,
Is something not possessed by us,
But lent by a world that's not our own.
Beneath all these filtered masks,
Lies the core of vulnerability of real us,
Let the true essesnce of self reign,
Feeling less controlled and more us.
Embrace the voids within our soul,
For we are perfect, we are free,
Don't let anyone name them,
As imperfections and flaws in us.
So shed your fear, reveal your grace,
Let yourself fill that empty space,
For in being yourself life feels complete,
Peaceful and beautiful.
