A month ago I left the U.K and came back to NYC with Jacob. I showed up to the house in tears and Jacob thankfully accepted me with open arms. Cade and Oakley have been trying to get a hold of me ever since, I haven't answered either of them. I wasn't mad at the fact that they were doing what they were doing, I was mostly disappointed at the fact that my brother caved into it and that my mother was right about Cench.
Right now I am on the phone with Maddie talking about my birthday that is coming up in two weeks. I am pouring myself some coffee as Jacob is asleep in bed. "Come on Jade... you and Cade never miss birthdays together." She whines. "Yeah well that was before he lied to me." I complain. I put my lips on the warm cup of coffee and take a small sip. "Come on Jade, he was only protecting you." She sighs trying to explain his point of view. "Yeah well he did such a good job at it, considering the fact that a huge dude came to the front door asking for money they owed him." I argue sarcastically.
"Jade... he said he is going to pay you back. He has been working day and night on stream for the money." She responds. "Really?" I ask in a hopeful tone. "Yes really. He is really sorry." She says in a soft tone. I think about it for a second and I really do miss my brother. I would always say I never want to spend a birthday without him. "Fine, we can have a house party here." I almost hold my breath saying it. Maddie squeals. Jacob gets up and gives me a small kiss on the lips. I hand him a cup of coffee. "Thank you." He mouths slapping my ass as he walks past it.
"Alright Maddie, I am gonna go. Just send me all the deets and we can set it up." I say staring at Jacob. "What? No! Your mom and I are gonna plan it. It's only right." She argues. "Bro I don't have a problem with planning it." I roll my eyes. "Who the fuck plans their own party? That is actually really sad. You are not lifting a finger." She complains. "Alright." I laugh knowing I HAVE to agree with her or she wont drop it. we say our goodbyes and hang up the phone.
"What was that about?" Jacob leans on the kitchen counter across from me. "My birthday party." I take a sip of my coffee. "I was going to ask about that, cause I know you usually have a party with Cade... I just don't know what is going on with you two." He sips his coffee looking at me in hopes that I will explain.
Jacob and I have not talked about what happened in London at all. I think the big reason why we haven't sat down and talked about it is because he doesn't want to know what went on with Cench, and I don't want to tell him. This is just sparing all the fighting and the breaking up. I thought it was silently an agreement that we wouldn't mention it, but it seems like he wants to know.
"I just... I don't think the time is right to talk about what happened." I walk away with the coffee in my hand. Jacob reaches his strong arms over to me and grabs my arm spinning me around to face him. "If now is not the time then when will it ever be?" He looks at me deeply in the eyes. "I just don't think you are prepared for what you are going to hear." I avoid eye contact with him.
He releases me from his grip and bites down on his jaw, I can hear his breath begin to get heavy. "I can handle more than you think Jade." He utters. "Jacob I don't think hearing any of this will make this relationship any better." I walk over to the couch. "I just want to know... please." He sits next to me. "Fine, but you promise you won't do anything dumb?" I say.
"Jade... I have done so many things that I regret ever doing to you. I promise you that I owe it to you to not do anything stupid." He tugs a piece of hair behind my ear. "Okay." I mutter. I let out a deep sigh before I open my mouth again. "So basically, my mother didn't like the fact that I broke up with you without consulting her first." I start to talk.
"Okay so then what did you do?" He gets comfortable and takes a sip of his coffee. "So she told me that if I kept hanging out with Cench that I had to leave the house." I look down at my hands. "So then what?" He continues to ask. "I went to stay at his house." I say it as softly as I could so it doesn't result in any type of confliction. He sighs and it seemed like he was heart broken, he let out a soft "Oh." I hold my breath hoping that he would say something else but he didn't.
"Look I don't want to talk about this." I say getting up. "Did you sleep with him?" He looks off in the distance. "What?" I turn back around and my heart begins to pound thinking about the countless nights we slept together... thinking about the first time that we slept together. "Did you sleep with him?" He repeats knowing I heard him the first time. "Jacob I-" He inches closer to me.
"Answer me... yes or no." He steps closer. Every step that I take back he takes forward. we keep doing that until I feel my back against the wall and my heels touching it as well. "Jacob..." I look into his eyes putting my hands on his chest, leaving space between us. "Answer." He bites down on his words.
"Yes." I blurt out. I look down trying to avoid eye contact, until I realized he wasn't saying anything. I look up and look into his eyes, tears forming in his eyes. "It didn't mean anything." I say. He still doesn't say anything, he begins to breathe in and out heavily. "Jaco-" "FUCKKKKK" He yells hitting his fist against the wall behind me. I frantically cup my ears and duck down.
"Please stop." I cry sliding down the wall. I bring my knees up to my chest and bury my face in them. It went quiet once more. You could just hear our cries. After about what seemed forever I feel his warm hands on my head. "I'm sorry baby, I shouldn't react like that." He pulls up my face wiping away my tears.
"We weren't together, it's not your fault." He grins through his tears. I wipe his tears away. "It's okay, I understand the feeling." I smile. "You promise he won't be apart of our lives anymore?" He moves the hair from my face. I nod. He gives me a lingering kiss on the lips "Good." He smiles. "Is Alexa still apart of your life?" I sniffle. "I only see her at work, but trust me it's over between us." He says in a soft voice. I nod. "Come on... let's go run a bath." He gets up and extends his hand. I smile and take it.
