OAKLEY

I wake up to a bright sun shining through my eyelids. I look over at the time next to me and see that its is already the next day. "The time difference is really fucking me up." I say to myself as I rub my eyes. I get up and unpack my luggage, I put everything in my closet and in my bathroom. I get in my bathroom and take a quick shower. I brush my teeth and put my damp hair into two cute braids.

I walk into my closet and pick out a cute comfy outfit. I put it on and pick up my phone. There was a missed call from Jacob so I decided to call him back. The phone rang a few times and then he picked up. "Hello?" He said in his cute Australian accent. "Hi, did you call me?" I ask. "Yeah I wanted to see what you were up to." He yawns. I then realized it was the crack of mother fucking dawn over there. "I'm sorry, were you sleeping?" I say. "Yeah, I called you when I got out of filming." He says. I walk out of the room but stay on the phone with him.

I look at my phone and see that he called me two hours ago. "You got out of filming two hours ago?" I ask. "Yeah, it was a long day." He replies. I go into the kitchen and see my mom typing on her phone. I open the fridge door and pull out a yogurt. "Yeah, it sounds like it was long." I laugh as I open the yogurt. "I just wanted to check on you." He says. "I'm doing good, I just woke up." I say. "Good, I'm glad." He smiles through the phone. There was a silent pause for a second and I heard some movement in the background. "Look, I will call you later okay? I love you." He says. "I love you too." I smile. He hangs up.

I smile down at my phone, Jacob and I have been together for a year now. We met on my brothers stream. We talked after Cade's stream and found out that we actually really liked each other. Not a lot of people around me like him because they think we are really toxic. Which I understand because we do have very toxic traits being with each other. I don't care though because we really love each other. My mom is the only person that really likes him, but I think it's just because he brings good publicity.

"You have a photoshoot today." My mom takes me out of my thoughts. "Okay, what time?" I say eating my yogurt. "It's in three hours, your brother is going to be in the middle of a stream during that time so make sure when you come back it's quiet." She says still typing on her phone. "Got it." I say heading back upstairs. As I walk up I can hear laughter in the distance, I follow the laughter and it leads me to Maddies room.

"Stop, that's so funny." I hear Maddie laugh behind the door. As I open it I see her and Cade sitting at the foot of her bed together. I raise my eyebrow walking in. "Hey guys." I say confused. They immediately move farther from each other awkwardly. The only space left to sit was between them, so I sat down. "Hi Jay." Maddie smiles awkwardly. "What are you guys doing?" I say. "I was telling Maddie the story on how I got the scar on my head." Cade says.

     "You tell that story everytime." I roll my eyes. "It's just funny that you landed on his head with your mouth open and your tooth gave him a scar." Maddie laughs. "We were five and jumping on a trampoline, I also lost my tooth." I roll my eyes. They laugh. "Anyway, I came in here because I need your help on my outfit." I say. "What's the photoshoot for?" She asks getting up from her bed.

    "It's a black and white photoshoot." I say getting up with her. "Cool, let's go check out your room." She says. I nod. "I have to go get my stream ready." Cade says getting up behind me. "Oh yeah, you're having the rapper over huh?" I say walking out the door. "Yep, so don't make any noise." He says walking to his room. I glare at him. I hate that he streams at the house because I get no time to myself.

    Maddie and I go into my closet. "Okay so if it's black and white you definitely want to go all black." She says going through my clothes. "Yeah you're right." I agree. The room stays silent as she concentrates on my outfit. "Hey what's the deal with you and my brother?" I break the silence. "I don't know what you're talking about." She tenses up. "Don't give me that, every time he comes around you get all flustered and weird. Also, when you guys are talking and I come around you both get awkward." I explain. "We're just friends." She shrugs. "Don't tell me you have a crush on my brother." I cross my arms. "I don't have a crush on your brother." She says avoiding eye contact. "Mmhm" I purse my lips together.

   I start to do my makeup and Maddie does my hair. "Do you think you and Jacob will last?" She says doing my hair. "I think so... why?" I ask. "You don't think there is someone more promising out there?" She looks at me through the mirror. "No, I've never really thought about it. It's always been Jacob and I in my eyes." I shake my head. "You don't miss how you used to be before Jacob?" She passes the flat iron through my hair. I sit and think for a second, "I don't even remember how life was before I met Jacob." I utter putting down my eyeshadow brush. "You were more carefree, exciting, and happy." She passes the flat iron through that spot one more time.

I think back at the time before Jacob. I would wake up so careless and free, I wouldn't mind people having opinions on me because I didn't care. I was so ruthless and adventurous. Being with Jacob always feels like I have to be a certain way or it would also reflect him. I have to walk on egg shells around other people. Before Jacob I was always on Cade's stream I was so energetic and upbeat. We would sing and dance, it was always so fun. Now I can barely be on his stream because Jacob doesn't like me being around other men on Cade's stream. Not only that but he thinks that seeing me be goofy on stream will hurt his reputation, so I just stopped.

"All done." Maddie smiles. I look in the mirror and actually feel really pretty. I go into my bathroom and change into my outfit. As I walk out Maddie hands me my phone "Jacob is calling." She says. I quickly grab the phone and answer. "Hello?" I say sitting at my bed. "Hey, just checking in on you." He says. Maddie walks out. "How's everything going?" He says. "It's going good, did you just wake up?" I laugh. "Uhm, yeah I'm gonna head to the studio soon though." He yawns. "Oh, alright. I hope you have a good day." I smile.

"Yeah, hey before you hang up... I heard there's a rapper coming over for Cade's stream." There was silence filling the room. "Uhm, yeah... Central Cee I think." I scratch my head. "Stay away from him." He says sternly. "I will Jacob." I bite my lip. "Good, I'll see you after I'm done in a few days alright?" His tone changes so effortlessly back to being sweet. "Yeah, uh sure." I side smile. "Alright bye, I love you." He talks. "Bye i love you too." I utter before he hangs up. I grab my purse and put my phone and wallet in there.

I walk out the room and head downstairs to leave. I hear chatter and laughter, as I get closer it gets louder. I see Maddie and Cade surrounded by a whole bunch of strangers. One stood out in particular... Central Cee. He was laughing at something Cade had said before our eyes met, everyone looked in the way of his eye sight. "Oh Cench, this is my twin sister... Jade." Cade says as I walk down the stairs. "Ah Jade and Cade, that's quite catchy." He smiles. "I'm Oakley or Cench whatever you wanna call me." He puts his hand out. I look down at it and remember that Jacob does not want me interacting with him. "And I'm late." I purse my lips together and head out to the photoshoot.

CENTRAL CEE:
      "Bro chill out it will be fun, it's not like you're shooting for only fans." Cade teases me. The mandem and I laugh. As Cade is speaking I focus on a girl coming down the stairs behind him. Everyone switches their attention to her. "Oh, Cench this is my sister...Jade." He faces his hand towards her. She was so beautiful it was like I was staring at a walking painting. "Ah Jade and Cade, that's quite catchy." I smile. I look at her but she doesn't seem so spirited. "I'm Oakley or Cench whatever you wanna call me." I take my hand out in hopes she can touch it.

   She just looks down at it as if she was fighting with herself whether or not to shake my hand. "And I'm late." She says walking off.  I awkwardly stand there with my hand out. "Damn man she really did that?" My friend Wadz says. "Eh, don't mind her. It's her boyfriend that's the problem, bro is super insecure." Cade rolls his eyes. "Yeah Cench don't take it personal at all, he just has her controlled like a little pet. Sadly." Madison says with a look of dissatisfaction in her face. "Alright enough of her, let's get to the stream." Cade says walking upstairs.
