"What the hell?" Grunts Raph, crossing his arms as you stood around Donnie's computers. "What happened?"

"He just disappeared!" Mikey says.

"Let me pull up my shoulder cam files and..." Donnie pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose, licking his lips. His fingers danced across the keyboard, soon pulling up an assortment of files. "If I can..."

He was mumbling to himself at this point as you all gathered around him. He doubled clicked on a file labeled 10-31-16, before a video appears on the screen.

It was the footage of Shredder.

Donnie slows down the video, Leo leaning closer. "Come on. Show me something buddy."

You watch the video quietly, arms crossed and chin tilted down.

"That's residue of...woah." Donnie's eyes widen. "They used a teleportation device. That's...wow."

"What?" Leo urges, gently shaking the chair his tech genius sat in.

"Look."

Donnie rewinds the video, going very slow, and then hitting pause as soon as the Shredder disappeared from the screen. He points, showing another side of...

"That's a portal." You breathe, eyes widening.

What was The Shredder planning?

                                     •••

Once you had made it back to the lair and watched the footage, you had completely expected April to be back. When she wasn't, it sent your stomach into a tight knot.

And, Leo having a soft spot for you in particular, took himself and his brothers out to find her.

"It matters to Y/n, so it matters to me." Leo says firmly. "U-us. Matters to us."

So now you sat back in the lair, by yourself, left with your own thoughts. You had already helped defeat Shredder once, and now you had to do it again? And he had new reinforcements, considering he'd lost his pal Eric Sacs.

You knew the boys were strong, but were they strong enough to fight the Shredder again? With whatever new plan he had set up?

Were you strong enough?

Probably not. You'd spent some time training with Leo, but it was barely anything. Compared to what you were up against, it was completely and utterly...nothing.

You were nothing. You had nothing. You were going to be no help to the boys, and you could probably end up dead.

"What troubles you, child?" A new voice startles you, and you snap your head in its direction.

"Apologies, I did not intend to startle you." Splinter says softly. "You were very deep in thought. Is there something on your mind?"

"I...I don't know how to explain it, I guess." You say, watching the mutant come closer, sitting down next to you on the couch.

"That is alright. Sometimes the words we need do not come to us easily." He says softly, patting your shoulder. "But, I'd be willing to listen if you're willing to try."

"I don't know...I guess I'm just worried." You say. "Shredder got away."

Master Splinter sighs, stroking his beard. "Yes, that is something to worry about."
