You couldn't put your finger on exactly how you were feeling. Anger was evident, but you also felt a mix of guilt and regret. You desperately wished things had gone differently.

You talked to Raph and Mikey about what happened, and you couldn't tell if it made the turtle in red more angry, or if he understood any of what you tried to explain.

It wasn't fair that Leo had ordered you and Donnie to lie about something so important, especially to the rest of the team. But you knew where he was coming from, and wished the two turtles that were kept out of the loop would have given you time to talk some sense into their leader.

You hadn't been to your own apartment, except to sleep, in a long time. April had been keeping the place clean and you felt bad you hadn't been contributing.

So you figured that heading home wouldn't hurt, especially since Leo and Donnie both had you on speed dial if anything went wrong and you needed to come back.

"April?" You say as you enter your apartment doors, finding your sister pulling on her jacket with her wallet in hand. "Where are you going?"

"I thought you were at the lair." April cocks and eyebrow. "Raph called, Casey and I are headed there now."

"Casey?" You mutter, looking I've April's shoulder to see Casey Jones walking towards the door. "Oh."

"Hey kid." Casey greets. "You coming with?"

"Uhmmm I'll meet you guys there." You say. "I...I need a minute."

April nods, pulling you into a quick hug before walking out the door. Casey follows behind her, giving you a pat on the shoulder on his way out, then shuts the door, leaving you to your empty apartment.

Sighing, you let yourself fall down onto the couch. Something you'd avoided thinking about, was now at the fore front of your mind, and there was no ignoring it.

The glare Leo had given you was burned into your brain, the image undoubtedly going to haunt you until you resolved the issue. What had you done? You'd barely had time to do anything but keep the secret he'd ordered you to keep.

You'd never seen Leo look at you with such...disappointment. And for what? He'd asked you to keep the ooze a secret, and you'd done just that. You hadn't disobeyed any orders, and you'd even gone against your own morals for a while until you could talk some sense into him.

And yet, you still disappointed him in the end. And that hurt.

It felt like there was a heavy weight on your shoulders and chest, threatening to crush you right into the couch.

You knew that Leonardo Hamato was a responsible leader and a good brother. But sometimes he was an asshole. And you'd failed to realize that, until now. He'd been nearly perfect in your eyes, and now you had snapped out of your love struck haze to see his flaws.

There was no doubt that you had feelings for the turtle, considering how he had just displayed his flaws, and not one fiber of your being was angry at him for it. If anything, it made you want to be around him more. To be there for him during hard times, to get through tough days together.

Your phone buzzing in your pocket catches your attention.

A new message had appeared on your screen, and it was none other than Raphael.
