Chapter 34

Winter break over and the new racing season had arrived. Saffron and Arthur arrived at the paddock, hand in hand, as the media snapped the pair walking in. The cameras even catches moments when they looked up at each other loved up and in their own little bubble. "2024 season. Are you ready for it?" the girl asks as she walks through the F1 paddock and towards the media center. "Absolutely. I have my biggest supporter beside me." Arthur smiles as he pecks her lips before they continue to make their way down the paddock.

Even as they walk down to the media center and run into Charles, the young couple enjoy what time they have left before Saffron does her media work. "Is this season starting with chaos or not?" Charles asks the girl. "I won't know until I get the schedule for media and see where I am and who I have to interview." Saffrom smiles as the three stop outside the ferrari motorhome. "I'm going to disappear, hopefully I'll see you later, Saff." Charles says, hugging the girl. "Maybe." she shrugs as Charles hugs Arthur before heading inside the Ferrari hospitality.

"I better get to media. I'll see you after, okay?" Saffron smiles as she turns to Arthur. "Yeah. See you later, love." the young driver smiles as he leans in and pecks her lips. "Bye baby." the blonde girl grins as she parts her lips from his and heads to the media center.

With it being media day for the first race of the season, it was already busy inside with news reporters, radio commentators and journalists. "Hey newby. Excited?" Natalie smiles as she greets the girl. "Excited? I'm hyped for this season." Saffron says with a wide smile. "Good. So, you're in the media pen all day. And here's the list of who you're interviewing." Natalie says as she hands a sheet of paper to the younger brit. Saffron reads the paper to see who she's interviewing and at what time. "Not bad for day 1. It could have been worse." Saffron jokes as she and Natalie laugh. "Trust me. It'll fairly be a nice list for most of the season so you have nothing to worry about. Just as long as the drivers answer the questions in the most appropriate way and you maintain a professional manner with them, this season will be the best for you." Natalie reassures the girl. "Alright." Saffron nods before the pair go and get something to eat, take a seat and talk about what they did over the summer break.

"So, Arthur took you to New York?" Natalie asks in disbelief. "Yeah. He knows how much I've always wanted to go. I was in shock when he told me we were actually going for new year." Saffron nods with a smile. "That boy really loves you. But New York! Please tell me you went to Times Square for the countdown." Natalie says. "You bet we did. The glitter ball dropping was like something seen in the movies." Saffron says before taking a bite of her sandwich. "What about the new years kiss? It's a tradition." Natalie jokes. "Obviously it happened. As did some having some really good champagne in the hotel room afterwards." Saffron smiles.  "Real New York experience then." the older journalist smiles. "It really was. Considering how nice this was, I have interviews to do then a boyfriend to meet afterwards. I'll catch you tomorrow?" Saffron speaks as she clears her empty stuff. "Sure. See you later." Natalie smiles just before the younger blonde journalist disappears.

The media pen was already filling with journalists, all prepared for the new season. Saffron is shown to where her crew are waiting her arrival and is handed the questions for each driver as informing them who she has to talk to. Just as she set up and was prepared, the drivers who were in for the morning media pen, arrived. The girl began her interviews with Lance and was expecting Logan not long after.

"Lance, first race of the 2024 season so first of all welcome back. How was the winter break?" Saffron begins as she smiles. "Yeah, it was good. Nice relaxation period but all eyes are set on this season and achieving the best we can with the car." Lance says. "Last season, Aston Martin finished P5 in the constructors standings while you finished P10 in drivers championship. What are the aims for the 2024 season?" the girl instantly asks some serious questions. "Well, the aim is to score some good points throughout the season and achieve some podiums at the same time, aiming for a higher finish in both championships." Lance explains. "Lastly, we're here in Bahrain. What are the expectations you have?" Saffron questions. "Same as always. Drive well, good pits stops and fight for points." Lance swiftly explains before the british girl rounds out their interview.
