Antonios POV:

I hate it here. I'd rather be at Jay's house shoving chips down my throat and playing video games. These parties are idiotic, all they are, are a bunch of prestigious rich people talking about how much money they have. It's ridiculous.

I'm only here because my dad's the king of these assholes, if he wasn't, I wouldn't think twice about leaving. I'm lost in my thoughts when my mom comes over and grabs my arm.

"Viene Tesoro, look like you're enjoying this, at least." She says. I fix my face and put on a smile.
(Come Darling)

She takes me over to her friends. 'Oh come on', I whisper to myself. They all smile and greet us. I give them each a kiss on the cheek.

"Ciao, come stai?" I ask, trying to be nice. They respond with smiles. (Hi, how are you?)

They start talking about topics I couldn't care less about. I walk away slowly while they aren't paying attention and grab a glass of champagne. I sip it slowly as my eyes scan the room, looking for anyone interesting to talk to.

I pull the glass away from my lips and my eyes land on a girl. A beautiful one. She's wearing an elegant black dress, that hugs her curves perfectly. It has sleeves with feather cuffs. Her eyes land on mine, and she looks me up and down. I decide to walk over to her. She turns her head slightly and I see a pair of diamond earrings.

"Ciao," I say and grab her hand gently to place a kiss on it. Her nails were long and flat at the end. They were painted a white glittery color, with butterflies on them.

I turned up to look at her and saw her more clearly. She had dark golden skin, beautiful dark brown siren eyes paired with the longest eyelashes I'd only ever seen in movies.

Her lips were big and full, the top slightly darker than the bottom. She didn't have a cupids bow, they were perfectly round. Her nose had a diamond stud in her left side.

Her hair was slicked back in a ponytail. Her hair was long and curly, really curly. I wonder how she manages it?

"I'm Antonio LoSpeechio, and you are?" I ask. She seemed to have a reaction to my last name. Her eyebrows raised slightly at it.

"LoSpeechio, huh? I bet you know everyone here, then?" She asked, but it seemed more like a statement. I laugh and she smiles a bit.

"I guess you could say that." I reply. "I haven't seen you at these parties before, where you from?" I question, trying to get to know her.

"I'm from here, or are you asking me ethnically, because I'm a brown girl at a mostly white party?" She says and I raise my eyebrows in surprise. I smirk slightly, damn she got some fire in her.

"Nah, I wouldn't say something like that." I tell her. Shit, what if she thinks I'm ignorant.

"Then you should rephrase your questions, Antonio LoSpeechio." She replies. She smiles and walks in the direction of another group. She walks up to an older man and he starts talking to her. What the fuck just happened? I never get owned like that. Not being cocky, but girls are always all over me.

"Ciao, Antonio!" A girl steps in front of me. Luckily, I'm tall, so I can still see the girl.

"Hey Rachel." I say while still staring at the girl I was just talking to.

"It's Renee, actually. Anyways, I was wondering, do you wanna get out of here, maybe go to my place?" She asks, but I'm still focusing on the other girl.

"Antonio?" I hear her say.

"Huh? Oh, nah I can't. My dad's giving a speech." I tell her. See? The girls always want a taste.

"Ok, how about tonight, maybe you wanna swing by?" She replies, dragging out the 'ok'. Damn, she's pushing this.

"Not tonight, aight? But I'll hit you up." I tell her. She nods then walks away. I'm still staring at the girl whose name I never got. My thoughts are interrupted by the music stopping and somebody using the microphone.

"Buonasera! Thank you all for being here!" It's my father. What a bullshitter. (Good Evening)

"As you all know, it's the night before the beginning of the school year, so I threw this party to congratulate my son, and others, on making it to their Senior year." Everyone laughs and turns to me. I smile and raise my glass. I look over and see her looking at me, she smirks before turning back to look at my father.

"The business has been going really well, and the school year always helps. Remember to pick what charity you're going to support this year." Everyone in the business chooses a charity to support for the school year. They donate some of their money every month, it's our way of giving back to the community. "And, as always, go visit Rosinas, the best Italian food in Seaside!"

I see the spotlight hit the man that was talking to the girl whose name I never got. I wonder why she was talking to him? He raises his glass and smiles at everyone. Matteo Guerreo owns Rosinas, it's got a cute backstory, it's named after his wife. My dad used to be partners with him, until my dad took over the "business" he's doing now. But, they stayed good friends. So, Matteo and his family are always invited to these parties, but they rarely come. I heard he has a daughter, but I don't think I've met her.

"Enjoy the party everyone!" My dad finishes. He puts the mic back and the music continues. He walks off the stage and comes over to me.

"How'd I do, son?" He asks me.

"You convinced me that you don't hate everyone. So, good." We both laugh and talk for a little while. Eventually, the party ends and we all head home, but I can't get that girl out of my head. Who is she?
