Chapter 20

"Alfonzo!" Allegra and Vincenzo gasp. Julio's body lies on the floor, and Antonio gets up to go over and hug Ty. Alfonzo stands in the back holding a gun, while Marie stands next to him. He drops the gun, and they run over to hug everyone.

Antonio embraces Alfonzo instantly. "Hey, hey, are you okay?" He asks Alfonzo.

"Yeah, I'm good, are you?" He asks back.

"I'm- I'm good. Alfonzo, you saved my life." Antonio says. Alfonzo nods his head and goes to hug his parents. Marie comes over and gives Ty a long hug and Ty whispers in her ear, calming her down.

Everyone makes sure everyone's okay, and they all start cleaning up. Vincenzo calls someone to come and clean up the bodies. Everyone works together to clean up their wounds and the house.

Antonio and Ty sit on the couch together, as his parents try to calm Alfonzo down from what he just did. Rosina cleans up a cut on Matteo's cheek as Ty watches in admiration, as she had done that for Antonio at some point. Antonio holds his arm around Ty as Marie lies her head on Ty's lap, Ty rubbing her head slowly.

"We need to leave town." Vincenzo says. "Can't risk it." He finishes. Matteo nods his head.

"Where would we go?" Matteo turns to ask Rosina.

"We could go to the house in Trini." She says, referring to her family's home in Trinidad, owned by her sister. Vincenzo nods and holds Allegra in his arms.

"We'll go to Jersey," Vincenzo clarifies. "I'll go get the tickets." He says and walks to his office. Alfonzo lies his head on Antonio's lap, as Antonio rubs his back.

"How you feeling pop?" Antonio asks him.

"I'm definitely using the excuse that I saved your life whenever I want to go out." He says and we all laugh.

"Seems fair." Antonio says. They all laugh except for Ty, who stares blankly ahead. "Hey mama, you okay?" He whispers in her ear. Her eyes well up before she answers.

"He could've pulled that trigger," She starts. "You could've-" She cuts herself off, not even wanting to say it. He brings his hand up to brush hair out of her face.

"I'm meant to be with you, Tyara." He says. Her lips part slightly in shock, him saying the words she had always thought, but never said. She turns to him and leans in to kiss him. She pulls away and lays her head in the crook of his neck as his other hand rubs her back. Vincenzo comes out of his office less than an hour later with plane tickets. He hands the ones to Trinidad to Matteo's family. After arguing over who pays what, Matteo finally takes them. He thanks Vincenzo's family, as they all leave to go home and pack.

Tyara gives one long hug to Antonio, seeing as she won't be able to see him for the next two weeks. She gets home and changes into a track suit. Her and Marie pack their things together, hurriedly, in hope of making it to the airport on time. They all rush out of the house, Matteo, Rosina, Ty's uncle, Ricardo, Marie, and lastly, Tyara. They rush to the airport, making it there right as they board.

Meanwhile, across town, Antonio and his family board a separate flight, on their way to Jersey. He pulls out his phone, connecting to the planes wifi, and immediately texting Ty. 'Hey mama, how you feeling?' He asks.

'Exhausted.' She sends with a sleep emoji. 'How about you baby?'

'Same. I wish I could be with you right now.' He says. He catches himself. He never expected himself doing this type of thing with someone.

'That's the only thing I want. But, we'll be back together sooner than later, hopefully.'

'You right, Amore. Riposati, Buona Notte.'  He finishes.                                                                                            Get some rest, goodnight.
