Ty's POV:
He turns on the radio, and my stomach is still doing backflips from our kiss. I roll down my window a little bit, smelling the salty air from the sea.
We listen to music and drive through the town, to his brothers school. He puts his hand on my thigh, and my eyes widen.
I look over at him, and he looks at me with a smirk. He starts to pull away, but I hold his hand back. We listen to 80s music as we drive up to the school.
His brother sees me and hops into the back. Antonio moves his hand, understandably so.
"Hey pop, how was school?" Antonio asks.
"It was good. Hi, I'm Alfonzo!" His brother says to me excitedly. I look at Antonio and he smiles to me.
"I'm Ty, it's nice to meet you." I tell him back. He smiles and buckles his seatbelt. We start driving and end up in the rich part of town. "Y'all live in the hills?" I ask.
"Yeah, why?" Antonio responds. My eyes widen at the houses, which are five times bigger than mine.
"Damn. You ain't tell me you was rich." I say. He laughs loudly and pulls into the driveway of one of the biggest houses up here. My jaw drops, and he laughs even harder.
"I didn't think it was something I had to mention." He says, still laughing. Alfonzo grabs his stuff and hops out of the car.
"Bye Ty, it was nice meeting you!" He says in the sweetest tone.
"It was nice meeting you too!" I respond and he smiles going up to the door. As soon as he's in, Antonio pulls out of the driveway and down the street.
"Thank you so much, you really didn't have to do all this." I tell him. He smiles at me before responding.
"Anytime ma. That kiss makes up for it." He says laughing.
"Oh my God." I mumble under my breath as he laughs harder.
"What's your address?" He asks. I hesitate before answering. How am I supposed to tell him that I live in the hood, after he showed me that he lives in the playboy mansion.
"3515 fort road." I tell him. Please don't judge me. He types it into the GPS and repeats it back to himself.
"Ok, for sure." He says and smiles. That's it? I'd expected much more judging. He turns down the music and starts to talk. "So, your dad owns Rosinas, right? What's that like?" He asks.
"A lot of working for sure." I say and we both laugh. "Nah, it's fun. It's a family business, so everyone who works there is hella close to us." I tell him. "What's your hometown like?" I ask him.
"Shit, ghetto." He says and we both burst out laughing hard. "I mean, it's my town, you know? It's cool, but I'm glad my brothers didn't have to grow up in it." I nod, I completely understand. "I'm lucky that my brothers didn't have to feel that poverty, you know? It's just hella dangerous over there, but it's also a community. That's what I want them to feel." He explains.
I love hearing him talk, I could listen to his voice forever. "Mhm." I reply, adoring him. His hand is resting on his thigh and I put my hand on top of his. He looks at my hand and then at me, surprised. "I think that's really sweet, and I can tell you care a lot about your brother." I smile.
He moves his hand over to my thigh, tracing little shapes with his finger, and it feels so comforting. "Yeah I do care about them. I just don't want them to get wrapped up in this life." I nod.
"I feel you." I say and we both chuckle slightly. We listen to music all the way until we get to my house. "Thank you so much, Antonio, seriously." I say.
