Tyara's (Ty) POV:
I walk into a brand new school that I've only been to for games. But thankfully, I've got my girls with me, so I'll be okay. I still can't get Antonio out of my head.
That question yesterday caught me off guard, but for some reason I can't get him out of my mind. It seemed like an ignorant question, but the way he reacted showed that he really didn't mean it that way.
I notice that Ameera wraps her arm around mine on one side and Nini wraps her arm around my other one. I immediately feel relieved. "We need to find you a man right now." Nini says, and we all bust out laughing.
I decided for my first day outfit baggy jeans, an oversized red baseball jersey that has my last name on it, and red and black Jordan 4s. My hair is braided in the front with 5 small braids that lead into a bun. Thanks to Ameera, she always does the best hairstyles on me.
Since I'm a Senior, and my grades are good, I got to choose what classes I'm in, so naturally I chose every class Ameera has. Most of us are in the same classes, but unfortunately there are a few where we're not.
We stand next to the car waiting for the bell to ring, so I scan the courtyard that's across from the parking lot. Seems like a poor design choice to me.
My eyes land on a boy, one that looks hella familiar. He's wearing a red football jersey, same shade as mine. I look at the rest of his outfit and notice his shoes, they're the same as mine. Okay this dude must be psychic because what the fuck?
We make eye contact from across the courtyard. It's Antonio. Holy shit. "Girl what are you looking at?" Nini says.
"Oh shit! She's looking at Antonio." Serene says.
"Ooh girl, you a macker." Ameera says after. I roll my eyes at all of them. "Oh you have a little drool in the corner of your mouth right there." She says and pretends to wipe my mouth and we all laugh.
"Ya'll, that's the dude I met last night." I say. They all gasp and look at me, then they turn to him. "He is hella fine, though." I say. I catch myself and turn to them. "Do not say shit." They stay silent for a second before bursting out laughing.
The bell rings and we all walk to our first class: English. We walk in laughing and go to the back of the class. The desks were separate, so we could sit anywhere and still be next to each other. I sat at a desk next to Ameera's, and in front of us, Nini sat a desk next to Serene. A bunch of other people walk in and the bell rings.
As the teacher's calling roll, I see three boys walk in. One is kind of familiar and the other one isn't. But the last one, is him. Antonio. Why the fuck am I so hung up on him?
"You boys are late. Good thing it's your last year. Sit down." The teacher says. The boy I recognized came to the back and gave Serene a kiss, then sat down next to her. She then put her legs over him. This must be Serene's boyfriend, Divine. The other two came back and dapped up Nini and said hi to Ameera. Antonio smirked at me, then sat down at the desk next to mine.
Antonio grabbed my hand gently and kissed it. "Ciao." He says is a deep raspy voice, and my heart does a backflip. Thankfully, my face doesn't show it. He holds my hand for a second longer before dropping it.
I see him more clearly. He has a sharp jawline, and defined cheekbones. His eyes are a bluish-greenish color, and his eyebrows are thick and dark. His lips are the most perfect heart shape I've ever seen. His hairs a deep brown color, almost black, and it's slicked back.
I notice he has a snake tattoo that wraps around his arm. The head of it is at his wrist, and I assume it goes all the way up to his shoulder, 'cause his sleeve cuts it off. His hands are veiny, holy shit. "Am I gonna get the pleasure of knowing your name?" He asks, and I hear a slight Italian accent.
