New Girl In The City

Chapter 8

*** Leo's P.O.V. ***

On the way to the cafeteria, me and Ryan kept talking about our football practices after class, yes jocks, that's what we are, with Miss Clumsy as our follower. Literally she never fails to prove that to me. The day first we met, day before in cafe and today in class, that's thrice in two days.

Entering the cafeteria I noticed my friends sitting at our table, turning back to say bye to our clumsy follower "Umm... " wasn't she following us.?

"Where she went?" It was not only me who noticed. Ryan was having one of those concerned look all over his face. As if she got lost in a dense forest. Dude she is in school only.

"I don't know.. I thought she was following us."I said with full honesty."

"Hey Leo..." A soft yet coarse voice came from back, addressing me, turning back I found the pair of grey eyes focused on me.

"Yes? " I asked.

"Did you see Beth? " She asked.
Not sure about what to answer her "Ya..she wa..." . But before I could complete my statement River budged in, with his arms around our shoulders.
"Hey man!" He exclaimed as usual in his casual way. Being a goal keeper, he really had strong arms.

"Woah...who is this Hottie next door?" He asked, as he noticed Chloe in front or the term checking her out would be more accurate which only earned him a WTF look from Chloe. Sure Chloe was hot, I wouldn't blame upon him. I did same back the night I saw her first time in the hall of Louis. 

"Wait a sec! I saw you on T.V.! You are...Charlotte Jones.!" River exclaimed. Something flickered in Chloe's eyes at the mention of her name. I couldn't correctly put my finger on it but it was not her usual self. She quickly masked it with a reply. 

"Yes.. last time I checked." As she took a look at the whole cafeteria which was now filled with almost whole school's students.

"And our new friend." Parker came and pulled his arm over River's shoulder with a smile on his face.

"Great then! Join us at our table!" River exclaimed, sure thing that River is enthusiastic as always and extra enthusiastic when it comes to hot gals.

"Sounds great...but I am going to go and look for Beth. She isn't here." Chloe said. That only reminded me about Miss Clumsy. Where she really went? She wasn't in the whole cafeteria either.
"Beth as in..?." River asked.
"My twin.."
"Oh my god! You have a clone sister?!...Cool Man! She will be mine." I wasn't really sure whether River was a real idiot for not knowing Beth...as in Jones Twins or he was more than a idiot because he just said...what I think he just said.
It was not only me but Ryan and Parker was sharing the same amused look as mine . And for Chloe...she seemed to still process the whole thing inside her head.

 "What?" River asked, breaking the silence among us. And which led to the breakage of huge laughter throttle. Even Chloe was laughing like her a$s off.

"Why don't you go and have a seat , I'll go and look for our River's fantasy queen." Ryan said once the laughter seemed to get settled down. He said it in a sarcastic way but somewhere he sounded as if it was his duty or something.

It was a little surprising. As far as I remember, Ryan was only interested in volunteering to the matters related to books and football. He was not the type who gave a damn about girls.
" Fine I am coming." Chloe stated.
"It's fine, you have a seat. I'll bring her." Ryan tried to reason.

"I will bring her." I didn't even realize when those words came out of my mouth. I should have let Ryan only do the work but the way they were talking about who going and who not made my head ache. Deciding not to stay there anymore I followed the way back.
