The first thing he saw when he woke up was that his vision was black. There was no certainty on when his senses would return and it took several minutes for him to realize anything was happening. There was a fading happening; it was in and out of consciousness, constantly. Until he realized he was falling.

The feeling of air pushing down on his fingertips confirmed as much and it kept that way for what felt like forever. Until it stopped.

Pain rushed across his body, first across his left arm, then his right leg, then his abdomen then his left leg and then... it rapidly came to a halt.

He wasn't falling anymore, that much was true, but he still couldn't open his eyes and he felt something wet surrounding his body. He suddenly felt himself gaining control over his body again and he slowly opened his eyes. A cloudy grey sky greeted him. He saw several pine trees surrounding him. They were broken though. What happened?

Questions started to litter his mind but suddenly lost control of his body again and he blacked out.

Line break!!

"Honey, make sure to get enough food for us to last us a few days" a woman with blue hair barely past her shoulders said. She was inspecting the firewood beneath her not sparing a glance towards her almost already gone husband "I will. I'm not that bad anymore y'know." "You aren't but I don't want a repeat of what happened last time a storm happened so I figure I should remind you." Hazuki tried to ignore his wife's clear criticism as he spoke up once more "I'll get enough for us."

Hazuki glanced at his bow, he had wandered far enough now not to have his reina within his quirk's range. So he readied his mind and calmed down his senses. He breathed in and out slowly and began to sense the tree's essence all around him. Each little leaf became visible and so did the little bugs on the ground, the fungi, and every little bit of life. Now that he could sense them all he began to expand his radius. It was slow at first as to not shock his system but he began to speed up now feeling everything within a 75 meter radius and he finally felt something usable. It was a big animal.

Something was wrong with it though he thought as he slowly began moving toward the creature. It was static and it wasn't moving. He honed his senses towards the creature and slowly started analyzing its size and mental state. It appeared to be about 5 feet tall and maybe 120 pounds? It was hard to tell from here. It's probably a deer or something close to a deer's size. He now finished analyzing its size so he turned his attention to its mental state.

His quirk, rather than just sensing where things are, senses their essence. He can understand something's mental state and various traits about creatures when he focuses on it but he can't do anything more than that. The quirk also borrows from his own mental capacity when it does this so he's often left mentally drained even if he hasn't done any physical labor. It was a good quirk for gathering information but it often made it hard for him to do combat so he focused his efforts into other things. Since he wasn't good at hand-to-hand combat, he adopted a bow and used it for hunting instead.

He used caution when he approached the deer-like creature until he realized it was unconscious.

He didn't sense anything from that far away so he thought it could be an issue with his quirk just not sensing anything but as he drew nearer he recognized that there was nothing happening. The deer is probably sleeping.

He still stayed quiet when he walked towards the creature. He didn't want to wake it up after all. He realized he was wrong that it was just sleeping, however, when he smelled blood.

The creature was bleeding out.

He didn't need to be as careful anymore when he approached it. If it was injured it probably wouldn't be able to run away as easily he reasoned.
