As Killua walked with Nakamura out of the station and she carried the papers in hand, they walked in silence. "I hope you don't mind a name change." with his hands in his pockets, he tried his best to fake a sense of loneliness about it "I won't miss my last name much." she gave him a nervous glance but he didn't acknowledge it. "Shiro Nakamura isn't a bad name anyway. I like it." a realization popped into her head as she said it. "Well if your last name is the same as mine now it wouldn't make sense to just call me Nakamura now would it?" he removed his hands from his pockets "i guess you're right but..." "it wouldn't feel right for you to call me mom would it? I have a proposal for you then." he intently looked towards her as she gazed back "just call me by my first name, Haruka."

During his stay at the library, Killua learned a multitude of things about this world. One of those few things was that in this place, most people tended to go by their last names. He was curious about it and looked it up. He realized that it was considered disrespectful to do so, so he hadn't asked her what her first name was at all. "Isn't that.." she put her hands behind her back "disrespectful? I don't mind at all. Plus if you're going to be living with me, you can't act formal all the time." she looked back at him with a wide grin covering her lips. She really is like gon. He gave her one back and the rest of the walk to her home was peacefully silent.

As they approached her house, Killua noticed how normal it looked in comparison to his house. The house was two stories tall, with bricks coating the outside, and several well-tended bushes surrounding it. It looks nice... the house reminded him of what gon's looked like. Both were very homely but seeing another thing to remind him of gon wasn't doing him any favors.

As they entered the property, Haruka said one more thing in passing "I should probably mention one more thing in passing." "hmm?" she passed the paper she was holding to her other hand "I actually have a son." Killua looked somewhat confused and slightly concerned "did you not tell him you were going to have another kid over indefinitely?" "While we were waiting to get the paperwork, I messaged him to tell him about it but he never responded." so he doesn't know "how do you think he'll react?" she grabbed her key from her pocket "he's not a bad kid. He'll understand. Plus, he goes to U. A. if he didn't accept it, i'd probably hit him over the head." Killua didn't understand what a 'U. A.' was but he wasn't about to allow her to realize he didn't know so he just silently nodded his head and moved forward.

As they entered the house, they noticed the lights were out and there appeared to be no shigeru in sight. A lightswitch was to her right so she flicked it and shouted "shigeru, get your ass down here!" Killua reeled back from shock as the person he thought to be basically a sweeter gon had a mean side. "Coming!" shouted a voice from upstairs. As Shigeru ran down, expecting to get yelled at, he noticed that his mother was not alone. A boy with silver hair stood alongside her, a few years younger than him. "Did you check your phone at all?" shigeru rubbed the back of his head and gave her a weak smile "no?" she sighed "alright well since you didn't read it then, i guess you'll get the message now. Shiro is going to be living with us from now on." he looked confused for a second until he put the pieces together "that.. Kid?" "yes." he almost fell down the stairs he was halfway down "why didn't you ask for my input?!" "Because I didn't need it you dumbass. We have a spare bedroom he can use so you won't be impacted."

Killua was completely torn from this interaction but not wanting to really interact so he stayed silent "but what about our food?" she put her hands on her hips "we have enough food already, plus if we need any, we have the money to buy more." he kind of zoned out until Haruka spoke to him again "sweety, the spare bedroom is two rights and a left down that way. Head in that direction and you'll find it." the way her angry face turned into a smile kinda unnerved killua but he wasn't gonna show it as an opportunity to leave arose "thanks. Haruka." as he ran down the hallway he heard more of their argument "haruka? You let him call you that?" they were getting louder "of course I did. Hell, I asked him to. I-" as he completely entered the room the voices drowned out completely and he was finally alone.
