"No phones at dinner."

"It's important."

"Who are you texting?"

"No one."

Tom leaned over Elizabeth's shoulder to see. He had to squint a bit and Daphne nearly burst out laughing at the sight.

"It's Liam."

"Grandpa!"

Ever since the dinner at the Tomlinson's Elizabeth became almost inseparable from her phone.

"It's about time that boy asks you to go steady!" Tom said slamming his knife down on the table. Elizabeth gave a confused look at Daphne who mouthed back 'ask you out'.

"I wish." Elizabeth sighed and went back to her meal.

"Well he lives in London doesn't he? So the long distance wouldn't really work out would it?" Daphne said before taking a drink of water.

"About that, I was thinking of going back to London this summer."

Daphne did a spit take which only really affected Tom who let out a grunt of protest.

"WHAT?"

"Hear me out I'm eighteen now! I can take care of myself and Rose offered to let me be her flat mate!"

Daphne rubbed her forehead and sighed.

"We moved to Doncaster for a reason you can't just move back after a year."

Finally Elizabeth seemed to get angry at her sister. "I'm an adult now! You don't control me!" She slammed her fists on the table.

"You're under my care and you're my responsibility." Elizabeth seemed even more angry by the fact that Daphne kept so calm.

"You'll never be like her."

Daphne sighed not wanting to play along with Elizabeth's games.

"No matter how hard you'll try you can never be like mum."

Elizabeth stormed out leaving the house. Daphne stared at her empty seat for a while before she felt Tom's warm hand on her shoulder.

"She's just a teenager, they do stupid things." He rubbed her back.

"No she's an adult and she can do whatever she wants."

Dinner was left cold on the table that night.
