"You excited to see your lover boy?"
Daphne looked over at her grandfather on the train and shook her head at him.
"Oh come on now you know you love him too Daffy Duck." He said with a wink
"Grandpa you haven't called me that since I was seven." He sighed.
"Well you can't seem to call me Tom so why should I call you Daphne?" He said shaking his cane a her a little bit.
"You do realize you're ninety one now." Daphne asked raising an eyebrow.
"And not a damn day over." He finished with a curt head nod. "Actually exactly one day over Gramps."
The train came to a stop and Daphne took a deep breath before helping Tom get out of his seat.
A few days ago the Tomlinson family had decided to take an impromptu trip to London and assured them it had nothing to do with their son slash brother's love life.
Sure.
As soon as they had gotten off the train and handed their bags the turned to the left and saw the Tomlinsons, all of One Direction, and Elizabeth standing to the side with a big sign that read "WELCOME BACK TOM AND DAPHNE"
Hey now no decisions had been made yet.
Tom hurriedly dragged Daphne over to them all and abandoned her and he did some secret handshake thing with the boys and hugged Elizabeth. Daphne stood there awkwardly just staring at the large sign.
Until Louis broke it as he ran through it and came to a stop in front of her on his knees holding a single daffodil.
Which scared Daphne and sent her falling to the ground.
"Maybe we should give them a moment." Johanna said as he ushered the bunch away.
"Oh no I killed her now what do I do? SUCH A CRUEL WORLD WE LIVE
IN!" Louis shouted at the sky as he cradled her head in his hands.
"Stop making a scene please?" She groaned. "Is she alive? Is my Daffodil still living?" He asked tickling her nose with the flower.
"No I'm dead."
"Well you are the most beautiful dead body I've ever seen."
Louis stood up and held out his hand to Daphne who gladly excepted it. Then he pulled her up and straight into his arms.
Cheeky git.
"I missed you." He said into her hair. "And I still think I'm in love with you."
Daphne sighed and put her arms around him and hugged him back.
"Well it's a good thing I told my boss yes back in June."
"You clever little sneak!" He said flicking her head.
"So you signed your letter saying you were my future husband. You know I'm gonna hold you to that?"
Their hug was interrupted by the whole group coming over and forcing them into a big group hug.
And for the first time in awhile Daphne felt like she was home.
