~Ariana~

Monday approached quicker than I thought.
I managed to get through yesterday without being close to Calum.
Instead I went last minute school stuff shopping with my best friend Natalie.

As the morning began to shine through my windows, I realised I hadn't woken up around this time for nearly two months. My head took awhile to adjust to the timing and realise I was awake.

My leg stood shakily on my carpeted floor. As I took a deep breath out.
First day of a new school year had its ritual.
I took another deep breath and looked at my phone, the brightness hurt my eyes, the time read 7:27. I had to be in school by eight.
Unlike most girls I don't take long to get ready. Thankfully I was blessed with clear skin meaning not much makeup.
I did my morning things and dabbed on some eye makeup and slipped into my clothes.

My denim shorts felt rough against my showered body, I wiggled into a light flowly blouse and tied up my white converse.
Australia was getting hotter, which meant I was wearing half the clothes I usually wear.

I went downstairs to my brother devouring his golden pancakes.

"Morning mum" I called as I got juice from the fridge

"Morning Ari" she called as she flipped a pancake

"Mowring Ahri Ashton mumbled his mouth full of pancake

I laughed.

" I'll grab breakfast later okay, love you" I said to mum as I kissed her cheek

"Wait wait give me a lift" Ashton called as I headed out the door.
I could hear him hurrying another few mouthfuls of pancakes in his mouth.

I opened my car door and slung my school bag onto my seat.
"I'm coming Ari" I heard Ashton say as I saw a blur of him zooming to the living room.

I giggled because I have dirty mind.
He threw his bag over his shoulder and closed the door.

"Okay let's go"

The car ride to Richmound High School takes about ten minutes.

Ashton and I jammed along to the top hundred on my radio, Ashton's fingers drumming on my dashboard.

"Why do you hate Calum again?" Ashton asked his eyes fixed on the views around

"Ash can we not" i muttered as I rolled my eyes

"WHAT??" He screamed over the loud music

I sighed and turned down the music

"I said can we not talk about this right now, because just thinking about him makes me gag"

"So you think about him?" He said smirking as he nudged my arm

"Ashton, gross"

"He's not that bad you know"

"Yes he is, he's horrible don't you see it he hates my guts and I hate his"

"I know, I know but I just don't get why, you like the others I mean what's so different about him?"

I thought for a while.
It's not there was anything different about him.. I mean he's not like special

"He's annoying" I said blankly

"I'm annoying" Ashton replied

He wasn't gonna give up

"Yeah well you're my brother, your supposed to be annoying"

"You think of Michael and Luke as your brothers so why not him?" Ashton questioned me

"Ash can we please jus drop it" I said as I pulled into the busy parking lot of Richmound High

"Fine" he said grabbing his bag.

I found a spot to park and and grabbed my bag too as I took the key out of the hole.

"Well.. have fun" Ashton said

"I'll try. I mean it's school there's a limit" I said laughing and closing the door behind me

"I'll talk to Calum and see what he says"

"Ashton no" I said rolling my eyes

"Ugh why not"

"Because it doesn't make a difference okay, you're supposed to be my brother not my guidance counsellor now bye" I said as I hugged him good bye

He hugged me back
"Okay I'll stop see you later" he said as he walked away

I smiled.

I walked towards the school door and pushed it open, the loud sound of gossiping voices hit me.

Please let this day be over quick I prayed
