Chapter twenty two

Sleeping in a stranger house is one of the weirdest things I've ever done. I even forgot to lock the door after he brought me to my room. I blamed myself thousands times for it. After all he was a boy and I don't trust boys. The next day my phone's ring ton made me awake. It wasn't fully morning yet and it was still dark.
" Hello?"I said with sleepy voice.
" Where the hell are you????" Ouch. My ears. She was almost shouting. Nice to talk to you too Chelsea...
" Why are you shouting? Everything's all right?" I suddenly sat on the bed. My heart started pounding. Is she okay? Something had happened to her ?
"Chelsea is she okay?" This time I was the one shouting.
" Yeah , yeah. Calm down. I have good news."
Oh my god. Finally. A good news.
"What is it?"
"I talked to the doctor , he said she is okay , they will bring her to the ward today. " oh my god. Thank you. Thank you so much. You saved her.
" Oh my god. That was the best thing I heard since I came here."
"I know. I'm a life saver , no need to say" She was laughing. God. Me either.
" Crazy"
" Your welcome." Even though I couldn't see her I felt her winking and it made me laugh harder.
" Where are you? Home? You need a ride?"
"Nah , not home. I ... umm..."
"Rose???? Where are you?"
" At Ayden's place. " oh god. I hate the awkward silence that happens in chats.
" You still there?" I said then she burst out laughing.
" Chelsea? Heyyy? Why are you laughing?"
" So how much did I miss?"
"What?"
"Tell me Rose , Fingers or....." or dick. Her favourite question.
"Ewww, chelsea , fuck off. "
"Ok, ok. Sorry. Just wanted to change the mood. " Of course you wanted bitch. I could feel her still laughing on the other side.
"Don't laugh."
" Ok" still laughing. Oh god.
"CHELSEAAAAA"
" OK , OK."
Why do I even care? Let her laugh. There is nothing between us. Of course not. Ewww.
"So when will you come? "
" I don't know. He said he will give me a ride."
" Ok. Come as soon as you can. I'm dying to know everything."
" There is nothing to know. Okay?"
"Sureeeee"
" Ok, see you soon."
"See you." I hanged up and looked at the clock. It was almost 5. Poor her, she has been there for so long. She is probably dying for sleep. Shit. I forgot to ask about Rubi.
I got out of the bed looking at myself in the mirror. I was a mess. Messy hair , dark circles under eyes.... . Whatever. Why do I care???
When I got downstairs the smell of coffee heated me so hard. God. I don't know what is it about coffee that everyone loves. The smell is disgusting , it makes me wanna throw up.
" so you finally decided to wake up Rosie."
"Morning." I said offering him a big smile. " Ooo someone is in a good mood." He said with a stupid smirk on his face.
" And you just ruined it. " I rolled my eyes. Asshole. I wantted to be nice, you didn't let me.
" Woe , I didn't realise how sexy you look when you roll your eyes. "
" Oh my god. I really can't describe how much I wanna rip your throat apart now."
I said aggressively and he started laughing.
As I stood up to leave he reached for my hand. "Ok , ok . Sorry. Just teasing." He said while making me sit.
" Hey , let go of my hand. It hurts. " He whispered " sure it does" for himself but didn't make eye contact.
" I heard it."
"I said it out loud on purpose." I was just about to answer when a third voice joined us. I guess it was his roommate. Nash.
" So where is my popcorn ? The fight is reaching it's cool parts." Actually I had nothing to fire back but Ayden replied with a tomato. How kind. I'm glad I don't have a guy roommate.
The breakfast passed with funny chats , joke and things. It was good though. It was the first time I was meeting him but he was so nice but the way to the hospital passed in silence and I don't know why. Silence was so unlike him. I remembered his last night words. It was repeating in my ear over and over.
I fought myself not to break the silence but it seemed impossible." So aren't you going to tell me the rest of the story? "
"Nah."
" But it's tomorrow now." I said in a childish tone. Honestly I was dying to know the rest.
He didn't replied but laughed. " Patient Rose. Try to be patient."
"Don't you ever say that sentence to me again. I heard that too much these past few days."
We got to the hospital in almost 20 minutes . It seemed much more than 20 minutes last night.
I almost flew up. I didn't even know where the ward was but I was almost running to the elevator till I felt a hand on my shoulder.
" You know it's not a marathon Rose? " Ayden said out of breath.
" You are not the one that wants to see her friend so shut up. "
" So you mean you know which floor you should go then?" Ok , seems like he won. He laughed and pressed the elevator bottom.
I looked at him with surprised eyes.
"Just talked to Chelsea. "
He put his hand on my back leading me in.
I was excited. So excited . Like a little kid that when I opened the door I did the first thing that came to my mind so I ran to her and hugged her tight. We stayed like that for some more minutes then I broke the hug. I realised that my eyes were wet.
"Don't cry." She said in her weak voice.
" How dared you?? Huh??? Answer me. How??? Don't you think about your parents ??? Don't you think about us???" I was almost shouting.
" Hey Rose , calm down." It was Ruby.
Instead of replying I hugged her tight. I was worry about her too. Actually Ruby is much stronger than she looks like so you don't need to be worry about her. We stayed there for hours , talking to each other but doctors didn't let us more. They said she needs to rest so they almost kicked us out. I was running from Chelsea's dead glare whole time but staying immune to them seemed impossible well she got me in the yard.
" So seems like you can't run anymore"
"Yeah, unfortunately. "
" Chelsea? "
" Yeah?"
" I know it may sounds rude to ask it but what happened for Ayden's mom?"
" Ayden's mom? What do you mean? "
" I mean... ummm ... he told me a story last night and... "
" Hey wait. He told you about his mom?"
"He didn't say it was his mom clearly but yeah somehow."
"Oh my god."
"What?"
" Ayden's family is something that he never talks about."
" Oh" Ok maybe , just maybe I liked what she said.
"Her mom passed away after the accident."
I looked at him with shocked eyes. I didn't know what to say. That was why he didn't finish. He didn't want to let me down.
" By the way don't talk about it Rose. It's his weakness. No one ever says anything about it. "
" Ok." I said , playing with my shirt. I didn't know what to say so I just dropped it. " You better go take some sleep. You've been here for so long."
"Oh yeah. I guess I should. "
" Thanks for everything." I hugged her tight.
" That's what friends for." She winked and went to her car and I shake hand for it.
That night I don't know what happened but I found myself in the place that chelsea took me that night. I didn't know what I was thinking , I didn't even had a car. How was I suppose to go back?
I was thinking when someone broke the silence.
"So our little Rosie is spying on me?"he said in a sick deep voice that made me jump. I looked up and saw Ayde.
" What the hell are you doing there?"
"So people come to my place and tell me what the hell am I doing here. How nice."
WHAT? his place???? Oh my god. He is that friend she was talking about.
He threw a rope ladder down but just beacause i didn't want him to think I need his help I climbed up and to be honest it was really bad. It was too fucking cold and I couldn't feel my fingers so I had a hard time doing it.
The pillows he was sitting on seemed so comfortable but I didn't want to sit there. Not near him and it seemed like he could read my mind cause he just pointed to the empty area near himself and I shacked my head.
" C'mon Rose. I don't bite"
" You don't dare to." I rolled my eyes and he just laughed.
Ok I can't fight this anymore so I just went and sat down next to him.
Damn it , it was too fucking cold and I was trying to act normal. Suddenly I felt something warm rapped around me. It was a blanket. " Hey , I'm good. " I really didn't want to give it back but I didn't want to look weak either.
" You are almost freezing and it's obvious so don't hide it. " is it really that obvious ? Ok whatever. I don't care.
We staired for some more minutes at the town.
"Umm , Ayden?" He turned his head and looked at me. He is probably not used to saying yes.
" I'm sorry about your mom. "
" She told you?"
I nodded.
" The past is past. We can't do anything about it."
" You sure we can't? Like I know it's hard to talk and things but last night.... umm you just helped so much and.... ummm if i can do anythings to help you just let me know."
"You would do anything?"
" Yeah , sure."
" Then lemme play with your hair."
"What????"
" Lemme play with your hair."
"it has nothing to do about your mom."
"So what? You said you will help me." It was kinds scary to let him do it but I love it when someone does it to my hair.
He wrapped his hand around my shoulders and made me put my head on his chest. Oh god it is so good. So warm.
He started playing with them and made me want to sleep there.
