Etch POV:
"She sure is, Liam. She sure is" I smiled at the way Harry said that.
"Hazzy, can we go play on the twampoline?" I asked.
"Eleanor, it's late. We have to go to bed soon" Harry smiled sadly.
"We can go to bed on the twampoline!" I suggested.
"Ya know, Harry, that's not a bad idea.." Niall said, finishing the last of his orange chicken.
"That could be fun.. It'll be hella cold though.." Liam reasoned.
"I'LL GO GET BLANKEYS AND PILLOWS AND MY PWINCESS SWEEPING BAG!" I rushed rushed out of the room and up the stairs.
Harry POV:
"Liam, there's a ton of duvet covers and stuff in the closet by the pool and bridge over there" I nodded my head in the direction of the pool. "Zayn there's pillows in the closet just outside the cinema doors" he nodded and walked out. "Niall, come help me with the sleeping bags" I stated as I stood up.
"What am I supposed to do then?" Louis whined.
"Go up and help Eleanor so she doesn't fall down the stairs" I chuckled.
"Right then. Call me if you need help carrying anything" Louis headed off toward the upstairs portion of the house.
"How many pillows do we need, Harry? Do we need more than six?" Zayn asked as we passed him. I shook my head and continued to the stairs.
"HARRY! I MIGHT NEED HELP WITH THESE BLANKETS!" Liam shouted from the pool room.
"Niall, can you go help him, please?" He shot me a smile and went to help Liam. By the time I got up the stairs, Etch and Louis were already coming down the stairs. Louis was carrying the other sleeping bags, and Eleanor was wearing her blanket as a cape again as she held onto her Disney Princess sleeping bag.
"You found 'em?" I asked Louis as I took a few of the sleeping bags from him.
"Yep. Found them in the closet next to the toy room" I counted them to make sure there were enough for all of us. I trusted Louis to be able to count, but I just wanted to double check.
"Right then, to the trampoline, yeah? Etch, can you go get Liam, Zayn, and Niall?" She nodded dramatically and flitted down the steps.
"NI-NI, Z-Z, LI-LI WERE GOIN OUTSIDE NOW!" I heard her shout.
"OK!" they called to her as she stomped back up the stairs.
"Hazzy? Come here" she beckoned me with her tiny finger.
"Yes?"
She got really close to my ear, "can we show them the tweehouse?" She whispered as quietly as she possibly could.
I shook my head. Dad told us that was our place, and no one else could know about it. "Why not?" She pouted.
"Because, don't you remember what daddy said?"
She sighed, "I wemember"
"Good. Now come on you goof. You were the one who wanted to sleep on the trampoline!" Her face lit up and she picked her sleeping bag from off the floor. Louis trailed behind us, and soon the other boys came up the stairs. As Eleanor took off toward the back door, Liam chased after her as best as he could with all the pillows he could possibly carry in his arms.
"Liam! Stop running! She's fine!" Louis laughed as he jogged after him.
"I just don't want her to fall again is all" Liam said smiling shyly.
"She's 2 Liam. Toddlers have bones made of rubber" I told him, taking some pillows from him and stacking them on top of the sleeping bags. We all eventually got to the back garden where Eleanor was already on the trampoline.
The trampoline was surrounded by trees on three sides just at the entrance of the woods. I remember dad put it there so him and mum could still keep an eye on me- and now Etch- while I felt like no one could see me.
I now was having second thoughts on this. Would this small trampoline REALLY be able to hold 5 grown boys and a little girl without breaking? Well, there's only one way to find out! I threw the sleeping bags and pillows I was carrying onto the trampoline and rolled onto it, the other boys following behind me. Zayn picked Eleanor up and set her on his lap.
"What now?" Louis asked. Eleanor looked at me, her eyebrows furrowed. I knew what she was thinking. She wants them to see the tree house.
I shook my head at her subtly. She furrowed her eyebrows even tighter and started her infamous pout. I say up a bit straighter, looked her right in the eyes and shook my head again. Her eyes turned glossy, her brows as tightly furrowed as she could possibly get them, frustrated tears streaming from her left eye, and then her lips were no longer pouting, but pressed into a tight, straight line with turned down corners.
The other boys just stared between us. They didn't know what she was thinking, or what I was saying no to. "No, Eleanor. No" I said firmly. She finally gave up and her eyebrows unfurrowed. She had officially been defeated. She wiped her hand over her cheek and smiled again.
It wasn't a genuine smile. For an almost two year old, she was damn smart. She knows things I didn't know until I was at least 6. I'm not sure how she is so smart.
Maybe she was dunked in nuclear waste when she was born.
She had a plan, and I knew it. She had a gleam in her eye that wasn't happiness. It wasn't glee, or even joy. The gleam in her hazy green eyes is determination. Her baby toothed smile is a smirk. She's going to be devious as she gets older, and it's starting today. I don't know why she's so determined to show them the tree house, but somehow it's going to happen, and our secret hideout won't be so secret anymore.
