Chapter 14: I'll See You Again

—Azumi pov—

I was walking to get some coffee with Maru when I decided to tell her the truth.

"You remind me of a girl I once knew, by now she's well in middle age. Probably 21 to 32."

"Well, thank you?" She said, her voice becoming more familiar.

"Hold on... MARU?" I said, blushing.

"Hi love." She said, smiling and kissing me on the cheek. She kept walking but I stopped.

"Wha- you died in front of me." I said, thinking this through. "How could this happen?"

"I'm here now." She said, holding my hand. "All that matters is I love you."

—Aphrodite pov—

"He rejected me." I thought, in tears. "I thought he wanted me."

"I wish I knew you wanted me, but I found someone, this morning actually." He said, feeling bad

"Who?" I asked, still crying.

"Isa. She's pretty, smart, funny, and has an amazing personality. I'm sorry." He said, leaving.

"Awe, aph. You'll find someone who cares about you as much as you do for them." Robin said, hugging me.

"I did find someone, I'll find someone new you mean." I said, getting him out of my room.

—Yui pov—

She was just in sight. Her ginger hair and freckles. Tsuki.

"Love, get down." She mouthed to me, but I was too focused on her appearance. She was so pretty today, and everyday.

I woke up in the hospital.

"What?" I said, but I didn't actually open my mouth to speak. Doctors and nurses surrounded me. I had been in a coma for 3 weeks due to someone attacking me. It was deemed as a shadow like person, when in reality it was probably someone who wanted to rob me.

Tsuki explained the situation. There was a demon named Shadow and it wasn't safe. It had already hurt Juno, and Maru. Maru was from a coffee shop, but when she beat it, she became alive again and came back in a new body.

We were planning on beating it soon, once we found out how to. It seemed easy but we needed four ingredients. A sapphire stone, dust, a rare type of flower dabbed in honeycomb, and the snot of a whale.

Eventually, I got discharged and I could go home freely. I decided to drag Tsuki with me so we could snuggle. I was next to her in the bed with my head on her chest. My cat was curled up at the foot of the bed.
