Chapter 16: Flight

—Aphrodite pov—

"Omg Kyle is such a good kisser, but I bet Derek is better!" Jackie says, putting on lipgloss.

"Are you just using him to get to Derek?" I said, furious if that was the case.

"Of course." I like Derek.

"Well I recorded it so now you won't have anyone." I said with a smirk. I had been suspicious the whole time.

"Ugh you bitch!" She said, trying to break my phone, but even if she did, it already went through.

He was typing the response when I flung Jackie off me. She hit her head on the wooden floor.

"Shit.." i thought as I dragged her to Kyle's place. I said I would come over anyways.

"What happened??" He said, picking up Jackie and putting her on the couch.

I explained and he said he would break up with her when she regained consciousness.

"Derek likes you anyway." I said, shrugging.

"And you?" He asked curiously.

"I do too, but I'll get over it." I shrugged. "Like axure. I have to let people go."

"Maybe you don't." He said, leaning in to kiss me.

—Triana pov—

"Lune?" I shouted, knowing he was downstairs.

"Yes, tri?" He asked curiously but he was still worried.

"I want to join swimming." I said proudly.

"I thought you couldn't swim because of your- oh right you cut them off." He said, chuckling.

"Anyway please!!!!" I begged.

"Fine." I said. A few days later I took her to a testing place to see how she would do and it went great. I then took her to the top of a hill to see the sunset.

"Pretty!" I  said, mesmerized.

He kissed me on the cheek and picked me up

"Ah! Flying is so weird!" I laughed, in the arms of lune.

"You're weird." He said, rolling his eyes

"No you are!" I said

"You're weirder." He said, flipping in the air with me.

—Juliet pov—

"Do you ever miss Kade?" I asked her, snuggled up next to her.

"Not really. I didn't trust him as much." She muttered, kissing my head.

"Wh-what's that??" I wondered, staring at the demon down the dark hallway.

"I'm not sure." She said, going to beat it with a pan.

She screamed, and that's the last thing I heard because I had made it out the window.
