"I'm sorry, I wasn't there when you needed me the most" Jeongguk whispers, brushing off the strands of hair from taehyung's face.

Both of them lying in the warmth of blanket on the bed with jeongguk hugging other closer to his chest as if he might just despair if he let go.

"Well you know that's a lie, you'll always there no matter what, no matter where I am, what I am doing but when I need you you'll always there-- and I can't thank you enough for that" Taehyung whispers back, enterlacing their fingers together and kissing the other's knuckles afterwards.

Both of them didn't said anything after that, silence surrounding them but a comfortable one. But on the contrary, thoughts were running wild in jeongguk's mind.

" You are not alone, I promise" Jeongguk assured, caressing the boys hairs softly.

"I know" A faint voice came in response.

Taehyung looked up, his red rimmed eyes now clearly visible to jeongguk and jeongguk feels as it someone stabbed his heart a thousand times.

"I- I never thou-ght" Taehyung stutter, tried he really tried but couldn't spoke cause of the lump forming in his throat and just like that new fresh tears made his way to his cheeks.

"I know love, I know" Jeongguk says, as he wipe the trail of tears leaving younger's eyes, he blinked away his own tears, taehyung needs him the most right now.

"You are so strong love, so strong and I'm sorry" Jeongguk muttered, he's ashamed to even meet taehyung's eyes.

"Why are you apologizing, it wasn't your fault" Taehyung spoke softly, holding jeongguk's face in his palms.

Jeongguk put his hands on top taehyung's and kisses his one palm "I'll make sure that he surrenders, face the consequences for the sins he committed, doesn't matter if he's my own father no one has right to play with someone's life."

And a tear escaped from taehyung's eyes, it's not easy he didn't even remember clearly what his parents looked like just faint memories. How can someone be so cruel, someone so close to him, someone whom he always saw as a father figure, is this how this world works? Unfortunately yes, no one can know about a person intentions everyone hides behind a mask.

But it hurts the most when someone so close to you hurts you, oh well pain is always caused by our own people how will others know what hurts you?

"Tae?" Jeongguk whispers faintly.

Taehyung hummed.

"D-on't don't ever leave me like th-at, I was scared to life" Jeongguk pleaded, his hold unconsciously tighten around taehyung's waist.

"I swear, I can't describe what I felt that time it seems like a worst nightmare and i-" Jeongguk felt a kiss on his forehead and his words stopped for a moment when he felt the warmth of other's lips on his skin.

"I'm sorry" Taehyung says, but it seems more deeper, something was there that jeongguk can't seem to understand. But maybe he was just overwhelmed.

"I can't even stand the thought of you leaving me" Jeongguk confesses, and taehyung witnessed the first drop of tear that left jeongguk's eyes, he saw the vulnerability in his voice.

"I can't live without you, I can't" And with that jeongguk closed his eyes to hold the droplets but he felt the betrayal when the second drop made it's way out of his eyes.

Taehyung placed his forehead against jeongguk's and whispers "I love you"

A smile took over jeongguk's lips, now his head resting against taehyung's neck, sniffing unconsciously taking in the soothing natural faint scent that calmed his nerves.
