Even though Pedri was now in Saudi, away on another continent, I still had enough work to do. Lots of collaborations and shootings were on the agenda and after being elected Player of the Match on Thursday's Supercopa semi-final against Betis, a lot of media had to be handled too. Thankfully, it was mostly the Barca PR manager's work, but we stayed in contact and I wrote the official social media statement on Pedri's behalf.
I had even debated to fly out for the final as my parents had offered to stay with the kids for the weekend, but there wasn't a direct flight, not even from Madrid and I just didn't want to spend 18 hours plus travelling. Without kids I would have probably done it, but now my priorities were just different. However, I allowed Sofia to stay up and watch the first half of the final against Real on Sunday. And she wasn't disappointed by the action, as Barca shot two goals. She tried negotiating watching the second half, but I wasn't giving in - she had to be at nursery tomorrow morning again.
Putting her to bed took longer than usual thanks to her tantrums that she wasn't allowed to watch the full game and I arrived back downstairs to my parents over ten minutes into the second half. I arrived just in time to see Pedri chip the ball perfectly into the net. "Yes!" my parents and I shouted in unison. We were overly happy when Barca won the trophy after the final whistle and I spent twenty minutes to write a professional, yet nice congratulatory message to my boss.
Personal Assistant Congratulations on the Supercopa, Pedri! Wonderful goal too! Enjoy the celebrations and I will see you next week for the Reboot shoot!
When I was tucked into bed, I checked my phone one last time and was surprised to find a reply.

The trophy seemed to have put him into great spirits because I got a message in the middle of Tuesday night from him:
Pedri This NDA thingy, when a girl signs it, do I have to keep it?
Bewildered, I immediately replied, even though it was two in the morning. His calls and messages were the only ones coming through during night mode.
Personal Assistant YES I will collect it the next time I see you
And indeed, I saw him again on Friday after his return from Ceuta, where Barca won against them in the Copa del Rey, advancing to the next round. He was benched the whole game, but apparently he wasn't too unhappy to get some rest. I was relieved that his house looked presentable, at least the ground floor, as the Reboot video and interview would be shot here and outside.
