Chapter 2

"So," Maria said in an all knowing tone "you and Max were pretty close this morning." It was the first time the two had really gotten to talk sence they left Roswell.

"Maria, can we please stop acting like children" Liz said rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"Come on Liz you know you can't hide anything from me, spill it"

"Would you be my Maid of honor?"

"What?! Max proposed! And you said yes! Oh my god this is huge."

"Shhhh! We're going to announce it later to everyone but I wanted you to be the first to know."

"Oh my god, oh my god. My best friend's marrying an alien." Maria said, wide eyed.

"Yeah and what about you and Michael? I mean your on again off again and now your back on?"

"You know I think we are. I'm here and there's nowhere else I wanna be we both chose this when we left Roswell. We're in love with aliens! Heck you are an alien! Liz, is this at all how you thought your life would turn out?"

"No but I don't think I'd want it any other way"

"You know what?"

"What?"

"Me too."

The too friends hugged each other and laughed knowing that no matter what happened as long as they were together they'd make it through.
