Tales from Beyond Roswell

Chapter 1

"It's strange when I think I might never see my parents again" Liz sighed as the van sped down the highway headed as far away form Roswell, New Mexico as possible.

"You know we have to do this," said Max "If the government or some other alien catches even one of us it's all over, no one is safe"

"I know, it's just weird, I mean Roswell's been my home all my life."

Max took Liz's hand and squeezed it. "Someday we'll come back, but now we'd only be putting everyone there in danger."

"Were you serious?"

"What?"

"When you asked me to marry you, were you serious?"

"Of corse we'll do it officially as soon as we get far away from Roswell," Max spluttered "as long as you still want to."

"No it's not that," Liz said a smile spreading across her face "it's just I put it in my journal and I wanted to make sure that it was actually going to happen, I wanted to make sure you were serious."

Max pulled Liz in to him and whispered "I've never been more serious about anything in my whole life."

As the rest of the van slept they sat

together and watched the lights of there former home fade in to the scenery.
