The morning light found Iris in a disoriented state, grappling with a throbbing headache. Such discomfort was unfortunately not unfamiliar; her heart condition and the diagnosis of cluster headaches often collided, creating an overwhelming and unbearable pain.

She was hunched on the makeshift bed in Mia's tent, not wanting to bother anyone. The brunette tried to help Monty with the wristbands so they could communicate with the Ark but failed to do so as she couldn't even stand from the pain.

Octavia helped her down to first floor and then to Mia's tent whom was outside and immediately offered help seeing the state of Iris. They knew each other a little over a year so she knew the Thornton girl had these painful episodes.

Iris jolted awake as someone vigorously shook her. She focused her bleary eyes on Clarke, whose expression was fraught with concern, signaling the gravity of the situation unfolding.

"What's wrong?" Iris inquired, her voice raspy from just rousing from sleep.

Taking a shaky breath, Clarke delivered the devastating news, "Wells is dead. Someone killed him."

An immediate frown creased Iris's face as the weight of the news settled in, a familiar sense of dread washing over her. "I'm so sorry, Clarke."

"Anyways, we're gonna have a meeting right now to find out who did it and how to retaliate," declared the determined blue-eyed girl, a clear resolve for justice etched across her features.

"Okay, I'm coming," Iris nodded, gingerly rising from her makeshift resting spot, attempting to ignore the pounding headache that accompanied her. Octavia entered, providing a small relief by offering water, which Iris gratefully sipped.

"I'll help you. Come on," Octavia insisted, extending her arms. She gently took hold of Iris by the waist, allowing her to lean into the support as they made their way toward the main tent. The weight of sorrow and the anticipation of the impending meeting hung heavily in the air, underscoring the grim reality they were about to confront.
